In addition to getting our world famous Mini Reviews, we also discuss the untimely loss of actor James Ransone and our uncensored critiques of auteur Christopher Nolan. All right, already. Here is MOVIE PODCAST WEEKLY, Episode 376. We have once again resumed our weekly releases, and this one was recorded the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, so it was November 25, 2025. During this particular show, your hosts Jason Pyles, Karl Huddleston, and a Guy Named “Andy” bring you Feature Reviews of Sisu: Road to Revenge (2025) and Train Dreams (2025). Weird titles, right? Right. The only reason Ryan wasn’t here to help us is because he was recording his much preferred podcast, Geek Cast Live, Season 987, Episode 4,091. Anyway, on this damn show, we also bring you Mini Reviews of what we’ve been watching lately, and we also have the usual shenanigans where we have to deal with Andy. Join us if you have literally nothing else to do!

Aha! I knew you’d say that! Still, welcome to MOVIE PODCAST WEEKLY. For your information, Mister, this is indeed Episode 373. And your hosts Jason, Karl, Ryan — but not a guy named Andy — will bring you Feature Reviews of Bugonia (2025), Good Fortune (2025), and Eenie Meanie (2025). Yeah, Andy could not make it to this week’s recording due to a migraine. Very sad. Even so, during this episode, you will hear a discussion of the usefulness or utility of cliffhangers in TV series… Are they still necessary? If the show’s good, won’t people still watch it? Then Karl comes out of left field with an amazing and unexpected “My Three Sons” parallel (you won’t see this one coming!). And Jason poses a longing and lamenting question “based on regret,” he says. Oh, and listen to find out which film director Karl thinks should be under surveillance as a precaution because he is likely a danger to others and himself. We don’t really have anything to say about Ryan here. Also, Jason gets indignant at Karl’s suggestion that “Chris Pratt is no Captain Kirk.” Join us! Happy Halloween this week! Join us for this productive episode, where you might hear Ryan say, “You’ve either got to sleight-of-hand a butterfly … or you have to bamboozle.” In addition, we don’t waste our listeners’ time with Andy lying about seeing movies he actually hasn’t seen, nor do we spend your valuable time discussing the proper, syllabic pronunciation of the words “mayor,” “oil,” and “ruin.” Nah, we’re too professional for that, and we would not inconvenience our listeners with such trivial things. Karl Huddleston would, but he’s not present for this episode.
Even so, here in Episode 371 of MOVIE PODCAST WEEKLY, your hosts Jason, Ryan and a Guy Named Andy welcome to special guest Dr. Walking Dead Kyle Bishop, the host of Dead Man Still Walking and one of 10 “Horror Avengers” on Jay of the Dead’s New Horror Movies. During this explicit episode, Andy performs live, on-air dentistry, Ryan says “the F-word” even more than Karl, and you will also hear our Mini Reviews and Feature Review of the Survival Thriller Drama, The Lost Bus (2025), which includes a short Concept Discussion surrounding its theater trailers and then exclusive VOD availability on Apple TV. This episode was recorded on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Join us!

The boys are back a second week in a row — and this time — they’re pretending to be professionals again! Yeah, you read that right: MOVIE PODCAST WEEKLY is resuming its weekly release schedule to take on the films of 2025. So, this week in Episode 370, your ignoble hosts — Jason, Karl, Ryan in absentia, and “a Guy Named Andy” (who now insists his real name is “Carlton”) tackle the shiny neon spectacle of Tron: Ares (2025) and P.T. Anderson’s new flick, One Battle After Another (2025), which has “the subtlety of a nuclear bomb.” Expect the familiar griping about spoiler-heavy trailers, Jason’s humorous reason for his early arrival times, and an unusual theater story that proves moviegoing still has surprises. Meanwhile, Karl provides some insights from ordering the “Tron: Legacy” 4K and uses the word “penultimate” more than once.
In this explicit, chaos-fueled episode, Andy continues his questionable claims of actually watching movies, Jason rails against sneaky, unforeseen 3D screenings, and the gang debates whether the world’s dislike of Jared Leto is justified or just dog-piling. Listener and frenemy of the show, Cody Clark, chimes in with feedback curated by Jason. Also, you can find out what prompts Jay to ask, “Are you gonna put pillows beneath it, just in case?” Incidentally, this episode was recorded October 13, 2025 — the same day we wish a very happy birthday to Dr. Shock, The Twisted Temptress, and Kagan Breitenbach. Not sure where Ryan is for this episode — probably sleeping or deep in his cups. But in addition to returning to a weekly release format, the guys also return to actually trying to review movies again. So, buckle up, movie-lovers. Weekly chaos has officially resumed — for at least a week or two. Join us!
