Jim was able to have William Anthony get on a call to get some insight on how he has created a great business of sports photography. He shares how he has made lifetime friendships through capturing images of youth sports. William shares some special stories from his career in sports photography.

William spoke recently at the MetroPPA meeting in Oklahoma City. This was his first time speaking to a group on his photography. It was really special and there were several very touching stories.

Do you have a backup system for client workflow?  What about your personal digital life?  If you are like most professional photographers, the business systems are solid instilling confidence in your clientele that all bases are covered and their precious memories are secure from "Acts of God" or general mishaps.  I would bet, that in the same household, the personal side of digital assets including phone images are not so securely backup up, or even easily accessible. 
Well, have no fear, a superhero is near!  She might not wear a cape daily around town, but I'm positive her client list gives her high praises akin to Woman Wonder!  Her name is Lisa Mast and she is a phenomenally talented digital organizer, capable of lassoing the largest mess of images into a highly catalogized, easily retrievable, and reliable system.  The difficult tasks are done immediately and the impossible ones only take a little extra time.
Sit back with your favorite beverage and let's scratch the surface of this important topic.  But before you start... answer this simple question - Do you know where your 2019 Christmas photos are located and can you pull them up quickly for review?  If that answer is anything other than a loud "YES!", then you need to listen to the whole podcast and then reach out to Lisa!

Welcome to 2021 and the twins are trying a new approach for our podcast.  We are trying Instagram LIVE and then pushing the recording here for the audio podcast.  This first episode was not without it's challenges BUT, we managed to push audio in/out of Instagram, load up two phantom powered mics AND bring in two live callers.  All with the help of the amazing RODE CasterPro. 
Our first interview on the new platform was Ben Stanley, a young budding photographer that still in high school.  We met at EÔTÉ COFFEE COMPANY while he was admiring my new Wandrd backpack.  We chatted a little about photography and lots about everything else.  On the plus-size, Ben received a personal invitation to attend the next Metro Professional Photographers Association meeting and the new Thirsty Thursday event, but he isn't old enough to drink yet.

We don't always have sports photographers on the show, but when we do... we go for the homerun!
This week, the Twins chat with Carrie Giordano with a little help from local sports shooter Ron Lane.  For this episode, Ron had to guide us in baseball jargon like "The Well", a personal favorite place for this LA Dodger photographer to shoot action.
Carrie is not your average choice for a major league baseball shooter, but we have no doubt she can carry her own even if Jim & I have no idea wants she is talking about.  Ron was able to keep us in the game but mostly on the bench.
What we do know about is great photography and Carrie's landscape work is impressive.  We all would love to see more of that work and her true calling.  I know she is reading this, so - Carrie, get out there and show that nature work!  We are excited to hear from you soon for the upcoming education opportunities in either style of your work.

During COVID-19 shutdown in USA, Alison Conklin used her quantine time to create iconic portraits of her great dane, Ringo.  Igniting a spark of creativity, joy and hope for the future of everyone that followed her Instagram account.
The twins were engaged daily waiting for Alison's post, sharing positive moments with friends along with her poignantly funny portraits.  She has been on our radar for months and we were excited when she accepted out invitation to be on the show.
