In it, Michael takes a firsthand account of how the club became an extension of Factory Records (And how it was financed, in part, by the record sales of two its biggest artists: New Order and Happy Mondays.) Together we talk about how the club succeeded and what led to the Hacienda’s spectacular collapse. We also talk about his participation in the film "24-Hour Party People" about the Hacienda changed music forever. On top of that, we also discuss how he adopted the help of writer Paul Morley, Johnny Marr from The Smiths, Martin Fry from ABC, Calvin Harris, and Noel Gallagher from Oasis! We even talk about Michael’s amazing music career after Hacienda! A great interview with a seminal figure in Manchester’s fascinating music history.
