Die Vorlesung befasst sich mit multimedialen Dienstangeboten, die über Datennetze realisiert werden. Dabei werden die Basistechnologien der Rechnernetze nicht behandelt, sondern vorausgesetzt. Die Vorlesung gliedert sich in folgende Bereiche:
