Biblical fellowship goes beyond casual coffee dates. Building real, committed partnerships with God and each other requires the deep community Scripture points to—living transparently, caring for one another, sharing what we have, and standing together through hard times. For that kind of fellowship to grow, PFC needs a culture of goodness and safety where people feel secure enough to be honest and vulnerable with one another.

Do you remember the adrenaline of Sunday School “Sword Drills”? While racing to find an isolated verse can be fun, it often trains us to treat the Bible like a dictionary rather than a living, breathing story. In this week’s continuation of our series, we are learning how to read Scripture through a Christ-centered lens. Let’s move beyond simply getting through the Bible, and practice tools to help get the Bible through us.

In many ways discipleship is the Christian practice that encapsulates all other spiritual disciplines. For example, prayer is a practice within the broader category of discipleship - as is giving, fasting, and Bible reading. However, discipleship is a practice worth pondering in and of itself. To be a disciple is to be a student. To be a disciple is to follow the Messiah. To be a disciple is to look for others who may also become disciples. Are you ready to follow?

This Sunday, we are continuing our "Practices" series by exploring the heart and history behind Communion (the Lord’s Supper). We’ll dive into the biblical context of how the disciples first experienced this meal, look at what the Apostle Paul taught the church in Corinth about Communion, and clear up some common questions about this historical sacrament.

At the end of our gathering, we will slow down and actually partake of Communion together. Whether you've taken the bread and the cup a thousand times or this will be your very first time, the Lord's table is open. There is a seat saved for you!  

Evangelism is often associated with fear, pressure, or obligation, but what if it was never meant to be that way? This week, we'll look at Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman in John 4 and discover that the most effective evangelism flows from a life deeply rooted in relationship with Him. As we drink from the Living Water, God's love naturally overflows into the lives of others. Together, we'll explore how prayer, intimacy with Christ, and the other spiritual practices shape us into people who faithfully share the hope of the gospel—not out of obligation, but out of overflow.

Jesus taught that "it is more blessed to give than to receive," but what does that actually look like in our daily lives? Join us as we explore how true biblical stewardship goes far beyond the offering plate. We will look at what it means to generously invest our time, skills, and resources — whether offering a listening ear to a friend, or using our skills to help a neighbor with a project. Come discover how everyday acts of generosity help us transfer our temporary resources into an eternal investment! 

This week we will be exploring the ancient practice of fasting. What is fasting, and is it something I should be doing? And practically, how is the Lord calling me to fast?

The symbol of Christian service is the towel and basin, the instruments Jesus used to wash His disciples' feet. While the leaders of the world jockey for position and power, Jesus sets a different example. Those who wish to be great in the Kingdom of God are first called to be servants. Jesus said, "I did not come to be served, but to serve." Shouldn't it be the same for those who follow Christ as King and Savior?

After Paul wraps up his teaching on the Armor of God, Ephesians ends with a brief personal note from the Apostle. It is four brief verses that could easily be overlooked. But they are actually packed with rich spiritual truths. God calls his church to the “undying love” of Christ.

The Armor of God passage is one of those sections of the Bible that may be so familiar that we can miss some of the most important aspects of Paul's teaching. Here are three helpful things to remember. First, it's GOD'S armor. It's not ours. Second, it is defensive in nature - specifically helping protect us from the attacks of God's spiritual enemy. Third, it is collective and communal. While I have an individual role to play, the armor of God is for the body of Christ. So in a deeper sense, we, all together, put on the full armor of God. Shield wall!
