Canadian pianist Élisabeth Pion, Guildhall Wigmore Recital Prize winner for 2020, joins us to talk about her Wigmore Hall recital. We discuss her programme of much-loved works by Mozart, Beethoven and three French composers from across the ages, her interest in Lili Boulanger, and getting back to performing in front of a live audience. Following the postponement of this Winner's recital in Summer 2020, we're delighted that Élisabeth is now able to present this programme with a live audience in the wonderful surroundings of Wigmore Hall. Final-year Stage Manager Tom Downie joins us to discuss the access performance of our autumn term drama 'The Wheel', written by Zinnie Harris. Tom talks us through the ins and outs of audio describing a performance, the rehearsal process and technical requirements and describing for the ear and not the eye.
