    Mike Stonard interviews Keith Driver about a new scheme the council and Anglian Water have recently released on the recycling of cooking oils and fats. Keith Driver is our current cabinet member for neighbourhoods and community safety and was also the Lord Mayor last year. Norwich City Council has released a scheme which will make it easier to recycle cooking oils and fats to help improve upon the environment. They propose that they will use the recycled oils and fats to create bio diesels for cars.

     The Great Bug Hunt is being held at Whitlingham Country Park from 9am to 4pm for the main activities, with a bat walk at 9pm on Saturday July 5th. People are invited to join the professionals in hunting down and recording as many species as possible and have a lot of fun doing it.

    The Broads Authority nad their interactive annual public meeting on Saturday 28th June for people to find out information and ask questions. THe meeting was held at the Dockyard in Thorpe and started at 10am.

    Staff and members were on hand with stands and displays to talk about their work from conservation, practical work, education and planning matters.

    Tim speaks to Lorna Marsh, Head of Communication at The Broads Authority to let us know how the meeting went.
