Christianity is often made more complicated than it needs to be, with unnecessary structures and expectations. The key to living for God is to have faith and seek Him, as He desires to present us as pure and holy before Christ. The concept of “likeness” is explored, connecting it to the sleeping saints and the Genesis mandate. The Septuagint version of Genesis 1:28 is examined, highlighting its significance in understanding the relationship between humans and the environment. This verse in sheds light on the proper stewardship of the earth and the role of humanity in mediating between heaven and earth. God’s original mandate for humanity was to increase in honor, bring the earth to completion, and exercise authority under His guidance. This mandate, rejected through sin, was restored through Christ’s sacrifice, empowering believers to fulfill their calling through repentance and a Spirit-led life. Ultimately, believers will give an account of their stewardship, as illustrated in the parable of the talents, where faithful stewardship is rewarded and unfaithfulness is punished. The parable of the talents is interpreted as a call to grow in Christ-likeness, using our gifts and weaknesses as opportunities for repentance and obedience. Repentance is seen as a gift that leads to a deeper relationship with God and a more Christ-like life. Spiritual warfare is defined as destroying spiritual obstacles that prevent the earth from coming to completeness in Christ.
