Kingdom Prayer
Hey family, we each have people we love in our lives--spouses, children, relatives, friends--who we know would benefit greatly from a relationship with Jesus. But we don't know how to introduce them. Or we don't know how we can help them experience the shame-ending, guilt-freeing, ever-present love of Christ.
Many of us know the regret of wishing we had shared the gospel with someone. This Sunday we're going to talk about how we can help to lead others to Christ. So please join us! We meet at 10 a.m. at 360 Schermerhorn St., and kids 4-12 attend Kids' Church at the same time. I look forward to seeing you there. --Edwin

There will be a special luncheon after service, and each mother will receive a gift.

How Do I Say I'm Sorry?
Hey family, some of us walk around carrying things we wish we could undo. Words we said. Choices we made. Patterns we can't seem to break. Psalm 51 is for moments like that. It's a reminder that God doesn't turn away from broken people--He moves toward them. He restores. He renews. He gives us a fresh start from the inside out.
If you've ever needed a reset, this message is for you. Join us at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Next Step Community Church, 360 Schermerhorn St.. Kids ages 5-12 are invited to attend Kids' Church at the same time. --Edwin

Gratitude List
Hey family, have you ever created a gratitude list? It's a list of all the things you are grateful for at any given moment. On a beautiful spring day, it's easy to do. We are grateful for sunshine, flowers, being able to go outside for a walk, the promise of summer coming. But even on gray and chilly days, God gives us plenty to be grateful for. The fact that he woke us up this morning. That we have clothing on our backs. That he's given us a church family who's waiting to see us tomorrow.
Please join us at 360 Schermerhorn St. at 10 a.m. Sunday. Children ages 5-12 are welcome to our Kids' Church, which also starts at 10. I look forward to seeing you! --Edwin

You Don't have to walk this alone
You don't have to walk this alone.
Hey family, what if church wasn’t just a service, but a place of real connection? What if needs were noticed? What if prayer was normal? What if people stayed after the service because relationships actually mattered? So many of us are surrounded by people yet still long to be seen, heard, and understood. The good news is that God’s design for the church was never intended to be a weekly event; it was always meant to be a community.
This Sunday, Pastor Chris will speak honestly about loneliness and the kind of church God designed from the very beginning. If you have been feeling disconnected, overlooked, or unseen, we invite you to join us. We meet at 10 a.m. at 360 Schermerhorn St., and Kids' Church starts at 10 a.m. as well. --Edwin

I Can't Do It On MY Own
Hey family, this Sunday we'll be looking at the powerful truth that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. The Apostle Paul writes that it's possible to have passion and zeal for God, yet still miss the righteousness that only God can provide. We'll explore the danger of trying to establish our own righteousness...and the good news that salvation is not something we achieve through our own efforts. Our speaker will be Rob Lambert, and I hope to see you with us at 360 Schermerhorn, 10 a.m. on Sunday! Kids' Church starts at 10 a.m. as well.--Edwin
IMPORTANT: Take public transportation if at all possible to avoid the Brooklyn Half Marathon, which will snarl car traffic in our vicinity.

Romantic relationships Matter
Your romantic relationships matter--plus Daylight Savings Time
Hey family, someone once said that one of the key ways to invite heaven into your life is to marry the right person, and one of the key ways to invite hell into your life is to marry the wrong one. The speaker wasn't using "heaven" and "hell" in a theological sense, but nevertheless they were getting across a powerful point. Being with the wrong person is painful, and not knowing how to navigate relational dynamics can be really painful.
Last week we talked about what the Bible says about being a wife. This week we're going to talk to the men and ask them to man up. We have some great instruction for the men about being better husbands--and for the women who listen in, it will help in being better wives. Bring a friend! We meet at 10 a.m. at 360 Schermerhorn St. Kids' Church begins at 10 a.m. as well.

Church Stinks
Hey family, many of us stopped going to church when we were younger because of that very perception--church folks stink. And in many cases, the church deserves it. We've been dysfunctional or we've hurt each other. And as a result, many of us have just recently started to come around again. In our current series in the Book of Colossians, we're learning how the new identity we gain as part of the family of Christ affects everything in our lives. In the next few weeks we're going to talk about what it means to relate to our spouses, our kids, our work, our friends as part of our new identity. You don't want to miss it. (If you do miss a service, catch up on our YouTube channel. Here's the link.)

Pulpit Swap
Hey family, every now and again, when churches work together, they have an opportunity to be able to influence each other and help each other grow in the kingdom of God. That's been happening with our church, and tomorrow morning it's happening in an interesting way. We're having a pulpit swap. Pulpit swap is when a pastor comes from another church and I go to their church and they preach in our church and I preach in their church, and we hope that all the people are blessed as a result. So this Sunday we want to welcome David Lee, pastor of First Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn. We're excited to have him at our church, and I'm excited to go preach at his church. Please come! Bring and friend and hear the gospel!
We meet at 10 a.m. at 360 Schermerhorn in downtown Brooklyn. Kids' church starts at 10 a.m. as well for children ages 4-12. --Edwin

What every healthy relationship needs
What every healthy relationship needs
Hey family, there's something that every healthy relationship needs--that if it doesn't have, everything crumbles and falls apart. If this component doesn't exist in your relationship, you can know that you are either on the road to breakup, or in for a really long and painful journey. What is this component? Forgiveness.
This week we're going to talk about what it means to forgive in the family of God, and how that overflows and translates into our relationships. No matter what happens, we're going to need to be forgiven, we're going to need to forgive. Let's learn how to do that together. Bring your family, bring a friend, bring your dog! (Well, maybe not your dog.) We meet at 10 a.m. Sundays at 360 Schermerhorn St. Kids' Church starts at 10 a.m. as well for children 4-12.
