Episode 8 - Little Tank Girl
Welcome to Episode 8 of SnoBahr Filks! I'm Amanda "SnoBahr" Geyer, and today's bit of frivolity centers around City of Heroes, and the Paragon Police Department tank suit, which "Little Tank Girl" is giving away on the CoH board. This is my entry, and dang, I need to get an accoustic pick-up for my guitar.

I apologise for how bad the sound quality is. My studio is no Sony, that's for certain!Little Tank Girl, I'd like to win that code
Little Tank Girl, To you I sing this ode
Little Tank Girl, Please, can you see
Little Tank Girl, I want that P-P-D?

Little Tank Girl, Right now I bare my heart
Little Tank Girl, I'm gonna fall apart
Little Tank Girl, You hold the key
Little Tank Girl, I want that P-P-D

Little Tank Girl, I know this is weird
Little Tank Girl, Please now, don't be skeered
Little Tank Girl, Your contest's lovely
Little Tank Girl, I want that P-P-D

Oh, oh, Oh, Little Tank Girl
Oh, oh, Oh, In your C-o-H World
Oh, oh, Oh, Your board level's "recruit"
Oh, oh, Oh, But you have that cool suit

Little Tank Girl, I know I'll get by
Little Tank Girl, Even though I'll still cry
Little Tank Girl, If you don't chose me
Little Tank Girl, for that P-P-D

Little Tank Girl, The song is almost done
Little Tank Girl, It's sure been fun
Little Tank Girl, If I made you grin
Little Tank Girl, I think that I should win!

    Oh-oh-oh! Little Tank Girl ...

This has been Amanda "SnoBahr" Geyer, in November 2008. I can be found at snobahr dot livejournal dot com. And, hey. Little Tank Girl? I'd REALLY like that PPD costume!

Episode 7 - Scans To Argo
Episode 7 of Snobahr Filks. This time around, due to various reasons, I'm not playing guitar on this. I have lifted the music track from a Leslie Fish recording and laid my voice track over it. When I listened to this without the background music... it sucked. So, even though my backup singers are singing something else, it really needs Leslie on guitar. As usual, my audio quality sucks, but as this is November of 2008, I took a page from Steve Savitsky's livejournal and am doing music and art instead of NaNoWriMo. I'm hoping to put out at least two episodes a week, through the end of December. If I get off my butt enough to do so, at least.

So. On to Episode 7! Scans To Argo, by "Thnidu," who is thnidu at gmail dot com, to the tune of Leslie Fish's earwormy Banned From Argo. Keep a bowl handy, because your brain might dribble away. Background foleys through this introduction by my son, who is having a grand time in the other room, with some kitchen utensils and empty coffee cans. That's my boy!

Episode 6 - Trains, Planes and Rocket Ships
Iron Bard - 2nd Installation - suggested by FilkerTom on LiveJournal, the music for this was "Down by the station" children's song. My mom sang that to me when I was a toddler, and I still love that song. My own son chugs around the house to it.

    Episode 5 - Spider's Hope
Hope and Serenity - Following Seanan McGuire's lead on doing an "Iron Bard" challenge, this is the first entry. VASpider suggested "Hope and Serenity," so I had a bit of fun tracking down an instrumental version of the theme from Firefly (written by Joss Whedon), over at "The Signal" podcast (available through iTunes).

    Episode 4 - The Wager
A round in 3 parts, this song has been sung since at least Elizabeth I's time. It deals with flatulence.

    Episode 3 - Mom's Birthday Song
Happy Birthday to my mom! I think that she's Da Bomb! I wrote this for my mother, and it was a lot of fun making it.

    Episode 2 - Grandfather's Clock
A traditional version of "Grandfather's Clock." A friend remarked that it's the fastest version she'd ever heard, and I'll certainly grant that. It's a fun song to play.
