03-31-26 Part Two - The Greedy Democrats

In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, we discuss the notion of greed from the liberal left featuring a classic audio clip from Milton Friedman on the Phil Donahue Show. 03-30-26 Part One - Patching Up DHS

In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, House Republicans passed a short-term funding patch for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) over the fierce objections of Democratic lawmakers late Friday evening. But the 42-day shutdown that has snarled air travel and left tens of thousands of federal employees without pay is far from over. House lawmakers voted 213-203, largely along party lines, to approve a two-month funding extension for the beleaguered department, which has been operating without full-year appropriations since the funding lapse began on Feb. 14. A Senate proforma session resumes later today.

Also the "No Kings" protests over the weekend proved to be nothing more than entertainment for Republicans, audio from CNN's Scott Jennings on the left's financing these rallies, the "Obama Chant Fight Song" deifying the former President and proving disingenuous to the "No Kings" message, Dems want a "straight white Christian man" for their Presidential nominee and an historic profile of the men Democrats have chosen to represent their party.

03-27-26 Part Two - A Congressional Breakthrough for DHS

In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, Gary flies solo tonight as Eric attends the Mid America Trucking Show in Louisville, KY.

BREAKING NEWS this hour as Congress is one step closer to ending the Homeland Security shutdown after the Senate advanced a new, last-minute deal, but it came at the price of Republicans ceding ground, temporarily, to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. The Senate unanimously advanced a deal to reopen most of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the wee hours of Friday morning, 42 days into the shutdown that was spurred by the Trump administration’s immigration operations in Minnesota. It was an agreement that largely gave Schumer and Senate Democrats what they wanted — no funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and parts of Customs and Border Protection (CBP). But it lacked the stringent reforms they desired, like requiring judicial warrants or requiring agents to unmask.
