For the past 12 years, Si'le P. Singleton self-described as a not so young college educated, Black, Midwestern bi-cultural wife and mother, has bedazzled the Nation's audiences first as the witty ultra-high femme 'emcee-tress' Lustivious De la Virgion and second as a co-founder of The International Drag King Extravaganza (a 4-day event that merges academic and activist gender work).
More recently as LUSTER (pictured), she was a featured performer in 2004's breakout tour and highly awarded documentary, KINGS ON THE ROAD.
In PAINT! Her premiere one-person show, Si'le, academically trained as a multiculturist and critical race theorist, uses an unique blend of personal narrative, social commentary, and street savvy readiness to explore and expose the murky complicated margins that inform her ever-changing understanding of trans-self.
