Daily sermons from Pastor Harry Reeder
Matthew 1:18-25
The easy path and the right path almost always lead to different destinations. Joseph could have taken the easy way out, quietly divorced Mary when she was with child, and gone on with his life. But regardless of what it might cost him, Joseph did the right thing and followed the path of faithful obedience to the Lord rather than the path of least resistance.
Titus 2:13

Luke 1:26-38
During the Advent season, we focus on the miracle of the Virgin Birth – but do we really consider the true miracle of the Virgin Conception? The Apostles' Creed asserts the biblical truth that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. What does God's Word teach us about Mary and the miraculous conception and Iincarnation of the Lord Jesus Christ?
Luke 1:26-38
Friends or relatives having a baby will send you a birth announcement so you can share in their joy. Today we will look at the most remarkable birth announcement in history – Gabriel's angelic declaration that the Virgin Mary would give birth to the Messiah and Savior of the world – Good News that has brought unspeakable joy to countless believers throughout the centuries.
Luke 1:5-25
Expectant parents can find it hard to choose a name for their baby – but how would you react if an angel appeared and told you what to name your child? This very thing happened to the old priest Zechariah, as the angel Gabriel announced the coming birth of his son. John the Baptist, who would be a mighty prophet preparing the way for the promised, long-awaited Messiah.
Luke 1:5-25
From Moses through the Prophets, the Lord gave His ancient covenant people the written and spoken Word of God. But after the last of the Old Testament prophets, God’s voice was silent for over 400 years. Today we will see how God suddenly and unexpectedly shattered the silence and spoke to His people again as we begin our new Advent series, "From No News to Good News."
Habakkuk 3
In his hymn “God Moves In a Mysterious Way,” William Cowper wrote, "Judge not the Lord by feeble sense, but trust Him for His grace; behind a frowning providence, He hides a smiling face." As we call to the Lord in praise and prayer throughout our lives, whether His answer is, “Yes," "No," or "Keep Praying,” we must learn to always trust, rest, and delight in Him alone.
Titus 2:12
A new recruit goes through basic training to learn how to be an effective soldier. Join Dr. Harry Reeder on InPerspective as he shows us how the grace of God that appeared in the Incarnation trains us to be effective soldiers for Jesus Christ in the daily reality of spiritual warfare.
Habakkuk 3
As we continue to examine the prophet Habakkuk's psalm of revival prayer and revival praise, we see how it progressively reveals five elements of effective prayer: an intolerable burden, unshakable confidence, non-negotiable dependence upon the Lord, courageous conviction, and a God-exalting objective.
Habakkuk 3
Saving faith is a living, growing faith and we see this truth taking root in Habakkuk's life. In chapters 1 and 2, we have seen the grappling, wrestling prophet bringing complaints and laments before the Lord – but now in chapter 3, we see he has become the trusting, singing prophet who brings a psalm of praise and prayer to the Lord, with two declarations and two requests.
Habakkuk 3
You may believe you will go to heaven because your sins are forgiven – but although God's forgiveness gets you out of hell, you need His righteousness to get into heaven. Habakkuk's declaration, “The righteous shall live by faith” indicates that you not only receive forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ – you also receive His perfect righteousness credited to your account.
