    Thank you Dolly x

It has been quite a week for Myf. The release of her book Middle Rage collided with the devastating news of Dolly Parton's death, and today Myf reflects on the lasting impact that Dolly has had on her life, and will continue to as her spirit guide. She also pays tribute to Tim Curry and Yayoi Kusama, both of whom lived and created unapologetically.

Plus, Myf has some film news with what is hitting our cinemas including, a Days of Thunder sequel starring Anne Hathaway, animated film Coyote vs. Acme and The Social Reckoning with Jeremy Strong playing Mark Zuckerberg.

Big Little Truths with Liane Moriarty

What are the characters of Big Little Lies doing ten years on from the death that rocked their small town? Liane Moriarty's novel sold millions of copies worldwide, and now the wait for a sequel is over. Big Little Truths picks up where the story left off. Liane joins Myf to reveal how the hit TV adaptation, starring Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern and Meryl Streep, actually shaped the way she wrote the follow-up and the directions she took the characters. She also opens up about how she handles criticism as a writer whose skin, she admits, has never quite thickened, and shares her secrets for staying focused and productive under the enormous pressure of following up one of the biggest books of the decade.

Finally opening up and putting it all on the line

Today is the eve of the long-awaited release of Myf's new book, Middle Rage, and she's opening up about the vulnerability of putting something this personal into the world. Myf reflects on the emotion she's poured into the book, the therapeutic process of putting her experiences to paper, and why it's important for her story to be out there.

She also gets into why beauty brand Neutrogena is facing a major backlash and stock drop over how they treated Hayden Panettiere years ago, the cultural shift happening around postpartum depression amid the trial of Lindsay Clancy, and her theories on the why we are having a "freaky shoes" trend.

What it really takes to change male violence in Australia

Tarang Chawla’s sister Niki was murdered in 2015, and he has since become a voice to advocate for his sister and all other women facing male violence. Tarang and Myf unpack "the man box", the unwritten rules that teach boys to suppress emotion and chase dominance and how it fuels everything from mental health struggles to male violence. Tarang speaks candidly about the backlash he's faced for calling out male violence and what individual men can actually do to help shift the culture.

We’re off to the Logies with Lisa Millar

Lisa Millar joins Myf ahead of her second Gold Logie nomination, and the two swap stories about the brutal reality of breakfast TV hours, the strange intimacy of becoming a fixture in people's lounge rooms, and why regional Australia never quite prepared either of them for the lives they've ended up living. They also get into what they are going to wear to the Logies (Lisa gives Myf a sneak peek of her gown) and the unexpected joys of turning 50.

    A celebration of girlhood

Actor and filmmaker Aidan Mayeri joins Myf to talk about her documentary Summer 2000: The Etcetera Story, the wild true tale of the preteen "girl band" she formed with her best friends in 2000, whose album resurfaced online decades later and led to a record deal, a reunion, and this deeply personal film. They dig into what it means to reconnect with your childhood creative spirit after years of self consciousness and conditioning, why girls in particular seem to lose that fearless sense of self so early, and how revisiting old diaries and home movies became a kind of time travel back to who they used to be before the world got in the way.

Our opinions won’t help Ariana Grande

Last week was Copenhagen Farrrshun Week, so Myf is bringing you all the runway and street-style trends everyone's rocking, including the newest freaky shoe trend that has everyone talking. The Anthony Bourdain biopic 'Tony' has also been released and the reviews are in, the Telstra NATSIAA award held annually at the Darwin Gallery has announced its Indigenous art winner, and SNL star Bowen Yang has been announced as Broadway's newest cast member in 'Oh, Mary!' as Mary Todd Lincoln. Myf also discusses Ariana Grande's decision to step back from public life, and how the noise and discussion around women's bodies is relentless.
