The Find and Tell finale continues as Mark and Ben battle it out over the theme Lost In Translation. This week we hear from Ben.

In passing conversation at a Christchurch pub, Ben discovered that all New Zealander's learn the Māori language in school. This left Ben wondering why he was never taught his Aboriginal language and he seeks out an answer. Ben's search leads him into deeper questions about Australian Aboriginal language preservation and the ownership of cultural knowledge - and even has his own mind changed. 

At end of this episode Jamila Rizvi will crown our Find And Tell Champion, who will it be, Mark Mariano or Ben Haywood?

The Find and Tell two-part finale begins here, as Mark and Ben share the theme Lost In Translation. 

Both our storytellers have an extended amount of time to tell their story, and this week we will hear from Mark. 

For his final story, Mark demystifies one element of modern romance that has punctuated his own experiences of dating: Ghosting. Why do people ghost? Is it ever okay to ghost? How do you deal with a ghosting? All these questions are laid out, and lead to some unexpected perspectives on the matter. Featuring the wisdom of a qualified psychologist, and a conversation between Mark and one of his old flames...

Joined by besties Tess and Cribbs who founded Radically Soft – a plus size clothing collective, they talk about the trials and tribulations that come with trying to shop as a plus size person, the importance of community, and how to reclaim the word ‘FAT’!

Struggling to lock down a story and only a few short days from deadline, Ben receives a text with a lead for a story: “Have you heard of the Weed Church of Newcastle?” It sends him on a frantic chase for an interview with the controversial religious organisation that combines spiritual worship with plant-based medicine.

This episode kicks off the four final stories from our storytellers before the finals, where only two will advance. Naeun and Kate share the theme of New Beginnings.

Naeun finds herself in a small country town in New South Wales, as locals flock to the showgrounds, ready for a big day out. But this isn’t a music festival. It’s a police auction, where thousands of items – lost, stolen or seized – will be sold off to the highest bidder.

In the climax to Kates heartbreak trilogy, she stumbles across Yumi Stynes divorce party, and begins to question why big life changes, such as a relationship breakdowns, aren’t celebrated with the same grand rituals that falling in love has.

As we approach the half way point of the series, Naeun and Ben go head to head to tell a story on the theme Today Was A Bad Day. 

10 years ago, Ben had planned a day to take his friend Brenna out surfing for the first time. Hours later, he was driving Brenna to the hospital, covered in blood. Ben’s been carrying the guilt from that day ever since. So, he reaches out to Brenna, to make amends, and for a chance at forgiveness.

And Naeun takes us back to a day in 2020 when sisters Rosa and Sophie Do were grappling with uncertainty as the pandemic took hold. Of course, they were worried about the spread of Coronavirus. But on this day, the sisters came up against something far worse.

We've now met all four of our storytellers, but the competition has only just begun to heat up. This episode we see the return of Kate and Mark as they share a story on the theme Forgive and Forget.

Mark takes us back to the early 2000s, when Australian Idol was the beating heart of this nation’s popular culture. He speaks with one contestant whose wings were rising to the height of success and fame, before a twist of fate brought them crashing down.

Kate's break up story continues, as she turns to musical artist, Parissa Tosif from the band Valis Alps, to learn how they use their art to forgive and forget. She unexpectedly stumbles upon the reason as to why she always struggled with forgiveness.

It's time to meet our final two storytellers, Mark Mariano and Naeun Kim. This week they go head-to-head on the theme Unlikely Allies.

Mark grew up as a member of the Mormon church. But in his early teen years he left it all behind - because he felt that his sexuality and his spirituality could not co-exist. In this story, he explores that divide, and whether it needs to be there.

And Naeun investigates the name "Karen", which has become synonymous with a demanding, entitled white woman with a compulsive tendency to ask for the manager. But perhaps there is an inner Karen in all of us, and how do we use it for good?
