Here we go again, but this time, an islander who used the n-word on newly resurfaced social media posts is being removed before we even meet her.  Two videos from 25 year old Vasana Montgomery have been circulated where she is seen saying the n-word playing a video game and rapping to a song in the car.  Last season, it was Yulissa Escobar who was kicked off after the first episode when videos of her using the racial slur were discovered.  Later, Cierra Ortega was kicked off for videos showing her using an Asian slur.

In another jaw dropping Truth Social post, President Trump has announced that he is canceling the concert series after nearly all of the musical  acts dropped out.  Instead, he says the man who gets larger audiences than Elvis  in his prime will hold a rally… yes, President Trump is referring to himself.   Trump went on in a second post to also say he is canceling the Kennedy Center renovations after a judge ruled his name must be removed from the building.

It’s a heinous story that shocked the New York community, 34-year-old Erin Merdy drowned her 7, 4 and 3 month old children in the Atlantic Ocean. Merdy left their bodies along the Coney Island shoreline where it took authorities hours to find them. A judge showed leniency to Merdy, going against prosecutors who wanted her sentenced to life without parole. Once you hear how her life turned upside down, from a young woman with hopes of a health care career to a hopeless single mother suffering from postpartum depression, his lesser sentence may be more understandable.

A federal judge has ruled against the Trump administration, ordering officials to remove Trump’s name from the building within two weeks. The administration must also get rid of all online references to the “Trump Kennedy Center.” The judge also ruled that while the center may move ahead with renovations, it must later decide whether or not to close down the center after the board “more fully considered the impact.”

A judge gave 52-year-old Shannon O’Connor the maximum sentence possible after the California mom was found guilty of more than 4 dozen felony counts. O’Connor cried openly in court as victims and their parents stepped forward to describe the lasting trauma she caused for plying teens with drinks and egging on non-consensual sex in her home. O’Connor claims she held alcohol fueled parties to help her 15-year-old son’s social life, but prosecutors say she is now a sexual predator, convicted felon and a registered sex offender.

On Thursday, CBS News announced three senior level women with “60 Minutes” were out of a job.  First, the show’s executive producer, Tanya Simon, daughter of legendary reporter Bob Simon, was fired and replaced by a technology columnist who has never worked in broadcast news. Next, correspondents Sharon Alfonsi and our former ABC colleague and present day friend, Cecilia Vega were let go as well. Wait until you hear what Vega and Alfonsi had to say as they left the network, both women claiming censorship and political bias led to their departures.

And just like that Brett Michaels, the frontman to “Poison” has announced he will not be performing in the Great American State Fair this summer. Michaels joins Martina McBride, Morris Day and the Time, The Commodores, Young MC, and C and C Music Factory in dropping out of the lineup just two days after it was announced.
