Together we discuss how Darcy’s experiences in Heartstopper mirror a tragic real-life problem for many queer teenagers. According to The Trevor Project’s 2021 National Survey on LGBTQ Youth Mental Health, 28 percent of queer youth in the U.S. reported housing instability or complete displacement.
