唐僧师徒终于走到了西天，他们在大雷音寺先取到一堆白纸，送了紫金钵盂作礼物，才取到了真经。没想到他们回去时被通天河的老龟翻到水里，经历了八十一难的最后一难。他们四人把经书送回大唐，又回到西天，都成了佛。
