This is Navarro’s 27th album release and it is striking that his songs and his guitar work continue to explore a range of emotions and a depth of musicianship that only comes from committing a lifetime to creating original music and a personal sound. The album begins with “A Little Kiss” followed by the title track. The beauty and magic of these 2 songs alone are worth the price of admission. Yet he follows them with “Romance Among The Ruins”, a tour de force suite of acoustic and electric guitar work which takes the listener on a multi faceted journey. For “3 Sundays”, Navarro composes for his nylon string guitar, a string quartet and a jazz trio. It is immediately recognizable as a Ken Navarro song yet it is like nothing else out there. “The View From Here” is a Prince-like groove featuring virtuoso drummer Bruce Guttridge (Jeff Berlin) and Ken’s driving acoustic guitars.
