    Iran, Aliens, and Christianity

In this episode of The Lore Lads, released now but filmed near the end of February, the boys successfully predict the war. That, and we discuss the use of aliens as a distraction tactic, their actual liklihood of existence, and what that means for Christianity, along with a general debrief on the last episode of Weird Bible (if you haven't checked that out yet). Suffice is to say, things were in fact said in this episode. Welcome back to The Lore Lads...

    Just How Christian is Christmas?

If you’ve been on the internet around the holidays over the last few years, you’ve probably come across one or two videos asserting that Christmas is a collection of pagan traditions which were all rolled into one in order to make it easier to convert people. To be fair, Christianization was a real thing, and the Church did syncretize some aspects of various festivals into Christian holidays - but when it comes to Christmas, that’s not really the case. Before we get into why that is, though, we do want to take a minute and explain that we're not trying to invalidate anyone’s deeply held religious beliefs. We know that paganism is seeing a resurgence, and we're aware that we have a lot of people who identify with various pagan traditions who watch our channel. Our only request is that you consider how you’d feel if someone came along and told you that one of your most important religious festivals didn’t matter because it was actually stolen from somewhere else, and then hear us out as we go through the reasons why we firmly believe Christmas is, genuinely, a purely Christian holiday.
