All aboard The Story Train! We’re on a street corner. It’s quite cold with the wind starting to whip up, and it looks like every shop on the block is shut down. I wonder if they’re closed for a holiday? Otherwise it would be MOST peculiar for everyone to be indoors. Well, mostly everyone.

Today’s story is about how the true gift of Thanksgiving is giving to others and basking in the wealth of positive relationships!

All aboard the Story Train! Today’s story is takes place in England, the South Downs to be exact. Rolling green fields up and down as far as the eye can see. It’s very peaceful here and there are many small schools dotted about the countryside, filled with students in their uniforms. When the final school bells ring, many of these children walk home from school and enjoy the beautiful paths weaving through the South Downs. I think we’ll settle down on this green patch and look up at the sky for a while.

Today’s story is about this lumpy bumpy creature with a need for speed… and perhaps just a TAD too much drama. It’s inspired by a story from The Wind in the Willows and is called Mr. Toad and His Wild Ride.

Birdie decided that today’s tale would be the perfect bedtime adventure for her 8 year old friend Penelope, who is sitting in a window seat right beside her mum, Catherine! It’s so much fun to have friends join us on the Story Train. Especially when they help choo choo choose the adventure!
