Retired FBI agent and criminal profiler Candice DeLong speaks with Karen Conti, John Wayne Gacy’s former appeals lawyer, to discuss the case of Quincy Allen. In 2002, Allen went on a deadly crime spree that claimed the lives of four people across two states. He pleaded guilty in both states, receiving a life sentence in one – but a death sentence in the other. His sentence was overturned in 2022 after it was found that Allen’s history of childhood abuse and mental illness were not considered by the sentencing judge – and, most recently, Allen was resentenced to life in prison instead. Candice and Karen discuss Allen’s background and the factors that led to a successful appeal in his case.
Karen's book, "Killing Time with John Wayne Gacy: Defending America’s Most Evil Serial Killer on Death Row" is out now and available on Amazon and most book retailers. To learn more about Karen and the book, please check out www.karenconti.com

Retired FBI agent and criminal profiler Candice DeLong dives into the case of Nannie Doss, also known as the “Giggling Granny.” From 1927 to 1954, Doss poisoned and killed four of her five husbands – and was even suspected of killing her own family members along the way. By luring her love interests from “lonely hearts” newspaper columns and keeping up a sweet, smiley exterior, Nannie was able to kill undetected for years, with no one suspecting a thing. Candice explores how Nannie’s method of murder kept her under the radar, and why she felt compelled to kill her loved ones.

Retired FBI agent and criminal profiler Candice DeLong speaks with legal analyst Josh Ritter to discuss the headline-dominating case of Rex Heuermann, the alleged Long Island Serial Killer. Authorities believe Heuermann is responsible for a string of murders that first came to light in 2010, after four bodies were found along Gilgo Beach in New York. After more than a decade of extensive investigation, Heuermann was finally arrested – and has since been implicated in at least two more murders. Candice and Josh explore the investigative process that linked Heuermann to the crimes, the evidence gathered against him so far, and what we can expect to see from both sides of the courtroom when the case goes to trial.

Between 1953 and 1970, Edwards killed at least six children in Los Angeles County, California, using his career in highway construction to hide their bodies – and his trail of murder. Retired FBI agent and criminal profiler Candice DeLong speaks with journalist Nick Foster to discuss the case of William Holbert, also known as “Wild Bill.” On the run from U.S. authorities, Holbert and his partner, Laura Michelle Reese, hid away in the idyllic landscape of Bocas Del Toro, Panama, where they worked together to kill at least six American expats and steal their properties. Candice and Nick discuss what he learned through his on-the-ground research of the case, how the area of Bocas del Toro became the perfect backdrop for Holbert’s crimes, and what it was like for Nick to speak with Holbert face-to-face in prison.
