Joe McCulloch is the attorney for Myra Crosby. Crosby is also known as the "egg juror' and "juror 785". Crosby was dismissed from the Murdaugh jury just hours before deliberation.
McCulloch, on Crosby's behalf, has petitioned the South Carolina Supreme Court to give a reason as why the court has not allowed certain parts of the Murdaugh murder trial proceedings, including en camera discussions between Judge Newman and his client, to be released to the public. McCulloch maintains it is a violation of his client's rights to not have those records released.

On October 28, 2022, Shanquella Robinson traveled with 6 people to Cabo,
Mexico for vacation. The next day she was pronounced dead in her vacation villa.
The first reports were that she died of alcohol poisoning.
Then an autopsy from Mexico listed her cause of death as violent and with severe neck and spinal injuries.
Her death became even more complicated when a video surfaced on social media of Shanquella being brutally beaten by one of her trip mates, Daejhanae Jackson, and filmed by another member of the group, named the Cabo 6.
An autopsy of Shanquella Robinson conducted in Charlotte on November 17, 2022, found Robinson’s spine intact, contradicting past claims by Mexican authorities who had initially said Robinson’s spine was broken
On Nov. 18, 2022 the FBI opened an investigation into the cause of Shanquella's death.
November 23, an arrest warrant was issued by authorities in Mexico levying charges of femicide in the Robinson case. No names were released.
