    240. You Can Stop Doing Too Much

How much space exists between the busy moments in your day? Do you have space in the morning to start your day in a way that feels intentional and grounded? Is there space to decompress, reconnect, and actually experience the kind of deep rest you need at the end of your day?

These are the questions I invite you to sit with in this episode. Whether you feel resistance or a longing for something different as you think about them, your answer may help you see how doing too much has become your norm. This pattern impacts your life balance more than you realize, but a better quality of life is possible—and you’re allowed to have it.

If you are someone who overworks, overdoes, and feels the pressure to constantly take care of everything, I want you to consider what could change if you allowed yourself to lay down even a fraction of what you think is your responsibility. What would shift if you made space just to take care of you?

When your mental, physical, and emotional needs are not being met, it becomes impossible to show up fully in your life. But when you take even a small step toward giving yourself the space and time that you need, you gain clarity and the ability to move forward with creating the life, business, and relationships you want. Let’s dive in.

    What you’ll learn:

    • Why doing too much becomes a pattern for high-achieving women
    • How my own recent experiences led me to realize I needed more space in my life
    • Why taking more space and downtime for yourself can feel scary
    • How honoring your emotional needs allows the best parts of you to shine
    • Why making even a little more space in your life is a powerful step toward more peace

    238. Self Connection is the Key to Masterful Coaching with Maria Hendershot

Self-connection is at the heart of holistic coaching. In order to see the whole picture of your clients as human beings, you have to understand your own mind, emotions, and nervous system and how they impact you both personally and professionally. Even if you’re not a coach, connecting to yourself is essential to connecting more deeply in your relationships and with the world around you.

That’s why I am so excited about this conversation with Master Coach, Maria Hendershot. Maria and I have known each other for a while and have worked together in different capacities, including as co-authors on our best-selling book, She Rises. She took part in my holistic Master Coach Training program, and I’ve had the opportunity to witness her become so masterful in her ability to articulate coaching concepts that truly help others transform.

Like many of us, Maria was initially trained in a cognitive approach focused on how thoughts create feelings and shape our results. Through deeper training, she began to understand what was happening in the nervous system, what was getting stored in the body, and why patterns get recycled. Today, you’ll hear how that understanding opened a whole new space for growth, both for herself and for the women she works with.

As you listen to this episode, I hope you take in how important it is to be kind and gentle with yourself, and to really see and accept all of you. When you can do that, you create space for greater wholeness, deeper self-connection, and more meaningful, lasting change in your life and in how you support others. Let’s dive in!

    What you’ll learn:

    • How Maria combines different methodologies and tools to support transformation
    • Why a mindset-only approach can only take you so far before it starts working against you
    • How self-connection impacts your ability to create change in every area of your life
    • How Maria uses her training as a Tiny Habits coach to support aligned action
    • Why celebrating small wins isn’t frivolous, but essential to shaping new patterns

    237. You Create Real Life Balance When You Feel Whole

If you’ve recently found yourself feeling spread thin, overwhelmed by how much you have on your plate, and not even sure how you got here, this episode is for you. We all feel discouraged by our life balance at times, and today I’ll walk you through a framework that will help you find your way back into alignment. Here’s the key: sustainable success doesn’t come from doing more or planning better—it comes from understanding yourself so you can experience more peace and feel more whole.

The idea of wholeness over hustle is something I always come back to. So many high-achieving women find themselves stuck in the cycle of overwhelm, trying to hold it all together while still achieving results in their lives and businesses. But the most amazing results happen when you have the mental, emotional, and physical support you need to truly be at your best for yourself and others. In this episode, we explore how this connects to the four fundamentals of lasting change so you can begin creating more life balance in a way that actually works for you.

When you’re operating from a place of fear or stress, it’s harder to access your highest level of thinking, your creativity is limited, and your decision-making is compromised. When you learn how to understand your mind, your emotional world, your nervous system, and your approach to action, everything starts to shift. You move out of survival mode, and lasting change becomes possible.

This episode is an invitation to take a closer look at your life balance and begin creating a more sustainable way forward. When you bring these four fundamentals to the forefront and find a more holistic approach, everything becomes more manageable—your life, your business, and the way you show up in both. Let’s get started!

    What you’ll learn:

    • How the framework of the four fundamentals of lasting change can help you create more peace in your life
    • Questions to ask in order to understand your mind, emotions, and nervous system more deeply
    • What happens when you ignore your emotional needs or stay disconnected from your nervous system
    • Why some action plans just act as another way to expect perfection and spread yourself thin
    • How to shift into a more supportive and sustainable way of showing up in your life and business

    236. Bottlenecks in Business: What's Actually Holding You Back with Laurie Stirling

When we talk about life mastery, we’re really talking about how we build a life, relationships, and experiences that allow us to feel more joyful and fulfilled. For many of us, our business is a huge piece of that. It’s how we create the life we want, and overcoming business challenges is part of the journey.

In this episode, I’m joined by Laurie Stirling, an award-winning Business Ops Strategist who helps business owners understand what’s actually happening behind the scenes of their business, including where they’re getting stuck, why, and how to move past it. Whether you’re a solopreneur, running a larger business, or simply someone who is ambitious about your life, this conversation will meet you where you are and help you better align your business with your ideal life.

Laurie walks through the five key bottlenecks in business, from brand awareness and bringing people into your world, to nurturing leads, sales and conversion, capacity, and cash flow. This conversation will help you move beyond discouraging assumptions like “this isn’t working” or “I don’t know how to do this” and toward a clearer understanding of your business so you can make informed, intentional shifts.

Bottlenecks in business don’t mean you’re failing. They mean you’re expanding to the next level. So if you’re feeling stuck or discouraged, let this be a reminder: nothing has gone wrong. You’re just being invited into your next stage of growth. Let’s get started!

    What you’ll learn:

    • How to identify which of the five bottlenecks is actually slowing down your business
    • Why hitting an income ceiling is often a sign of a capacity or time constraint
    • How to identify if what feels like a cash flow problem is actually something happening earlier in your business
    • Why new bottlenecks will continue to appear as you grow and how to see them as a normal part of building a sustainable business
    • How comparison can distort what you believe is possible for your business

You can read the full show notes here.

    234. 3 Keys to Personal Growth That Actually Works

If you’ve been working on your growth—or supporting others in theirs—but something isn’t quite clicking, you may be missing something important. Today, we’re exploring three key elements of personal development that are vital to growth in every area of your life, from your relationships to your health and well-being to your sense of self.

These are not just ideas to understand on the surface. They are the very things you need to grasp at a deeper level if you want to cultivate a space of transformation, growth, and real, lasting change for others. Whether you’re a coach, a mentor, a guide, or a healer, this episode is for you.

So what are the three things that most people are missing? First, a better understanding of thought work—also known as mindset work. It can be incredibly powerful, but when it’s used in isolation and put on a pedestal as the answer to everything, it can actually become detrimental. Second, the integration of four essential elements: mind, emotions, the nervous system, and action strategies. These must be used in cooperation with one another to provide a better understanding of ourselves and create the type of change that is not just lasting, but deeply transformative. And third, recognition of your emotional needs. You have them, your clients have them, and when they are left unaddressed and unsupported, it becomes incredibly difficult to create meaningful change or truly show up for others.

These ideas aren’t new to this podcast—you’ve likely heard me speak about them before. But in this episode, I’m slowing them down, pulling them apart, and helping you really understand why they matter. Because these three things are truly the crux of the change you want to create. Let’s dive in!

    What you’ll learn:

    • The detrimental patterns that can form when you rely on thought work in isolation
    • Why your plan of action needs to include your nervous system and emotional world
    • What happens when you don’t address your emotional needs or allow support in meeting them
    • What Maslow’s hierarchy of needs reveals about operating from your highest capacity
    • How my first-ever 7-week intensive on the four fundamentals of lasting change can support you in your life and your work

    233. Are Your Coaching Skills Strong Enough to Create Real Transformation?

Whether you’re a coach or simply someone committed to your own personal growth, you most likely know that having the right support can change everything. Thank goodness we have access to brilliant coaches, mentors, and guides—people who can help us work with what’s happening in our minds and bodies so we can transform.

In this episode, I’m talking about the importance of phenomenal coaching skills. If you’re a coach, this conversation speaks directly to the way you support your clients. Coaching skills matter, and the depth of those skills can dramatically influence the results we create.

My early coaching experience was rooted in mindset work and learning how our thoughts influence our actions and shape our results. That framework was incredibly valuable, but over time my understanding of coaching—and my skills as a coach—continued to grow. When I started learning more about the nervous system, emotional processing, and what many would call a more holistic coaching approach to how real change happens, the way I work with my clients changed beyond anything I ever imagined.

I invite you to consider what it means to continue developing your coaching skills—not just today or this year, but throughout your life. When you deepen your ability to support change in others, you also amplify your ability to create change within yourself. The question becomes: how might expanding your coaching skills transform your impact, your business, and the way you show up in your own life? Let’s find out!

    What you’ll learn:

    1. Why the word coaching can mean very different things depending on the coach and their approach
    2. The difference between being a good coach and becoming a masterful coach
    3. Why adopting a more holistic coaching approach helps you support clients
    4. Several questions to ask yourself so you can start to identify coaching skill gaps
    5. Why continuing to develop your coaching skills deepens your impact and your confidence

    232. How to Advocate for Yourself: Let’s Claim Your Amazing Life

Often, the reason that you struggle to advocate for yourself—or advocate effectively—is that you are the first one to dismiss or minimize what you want. One of the most important pieces of creating the life you want is validating for yourself that your wants and needs matter, and allowing those desires to be important.

In this episode, we’ll explore several steps you can take to start advocating for yourself more confidently so you can create the life you want. How do you advocate for what you want in your relationships? How do you speak up about what you need in your business or work? I know this can be a difficult skill for many of us to master, and I’m right there with you in this.

At its core, advocating for yourself isn’t just about the words you use, but having the confidence and certainty that what you're asking for is valid. Maybe you hesitate to advocate for yourself because you’re afraid of being too loud or too aggressive. Others struggle because they don’t feel confident enough to speak up at all. Wherever you fall, this conversation is about what it takes to advocate for yourself and what becomes possible when you do.

You’re allowed to have things you need and want, and you’re allowed to ask for them. When you strengthen your ability to support yourself emotionally—even through disappointment or difficult outcomes—you build the confidence to keep speaking up for the life you want to create.

    What you’ll learn:

    1. Why the first step to being able to effectively advocate for what you want in your life is to get clear about what it is you actually want
    2. How validating your own desires helps you stop minimizing what you want before you even ask for it
    3. Why building the belief that what you want is possible is a crucial part of learning to advocate for yourself
    4. A simple way to practice speaking up so it feels safer in your body and nervous system
    5. Why being with yourself emotionally is a skill worth building when it comes to creating the life you want

    231. Building a Business Through Emotional Resilience

As you move toward your goals in your building business—the impact you want to create, the money you want to make, the quality of life you desire—what has it felt like? Most entrepreneurs experience significant ups and downs, and that roller coaster of emotions can be intense. What would be different if you could feel more peace in the flow of those ups and downs? If you could experience fear and doubt without being overcome by them?

In this episode, we’re talking about the real struggles that go along with building your ideal business, whether it’s coaching, consulting, or any dream you’re moving forward with. We’ll explore how you can stay the course and handle the emotional roller coaster of creating success in a profitable business.

Ups and downs are part of building anything meaningful. We feel excitement and motivation, as well as disappointment and fear. Everything you feel is normal, and what makes the difference is not eliminating emotions but learning to work with them. When you anchor yourself in a clear vision of your ideal life and business, and build the self-skills to regulate your internal emotional world, you create the steadiness required to move forward even when it’s hard.

Building a business and a legacy will bring up big feelings and things from your past you may not have even known are still impacting you. It isn’t easy, but it is worth it. When you stay on this path, you are saying yes to healing, yes to growth, and yes to bringing your unique gifts into the world. Let's do this!

    What you’ll learn:

    1. Why your internal skills are one of your greatest assets as an entrepreneur
    2. Why anchoring yourself in a clear path forward is essential when building a business
    3. How clarity around your desired quality of life can help you make decisions with confidence
    4. Why self-regulation doesn’t require perfection, but ongoing awareness and attention as you grow
    5. The role of mentorship and support in helping you understand your emotional world

    230. You Can Choose Differently: One Question That Will Unlock Your Future

“If I deeply loved myself, would I allow this in my life?” This is one of the first questions we explore in Master Coach Training, and it sits at the heart of life mastery. All of us have experienced allowing situations, relationship dynamics, and commitments to seep into our lives in ways that disrupt our peace and well-being. In this episode, we’re slowing down to consider this question in the context of your relationship dynamics, your schedule, your energy, and the patterns you may be tolerating.

You’re here because you want a better quality of life—because you want to feel authentic, grounded, and alive. If that’s true, then this question is worth asking. It isn’t about perfection or unrealistic expectations, but understanding how we often allow things to continue simply because we don’t realize we have more choice. When you recognize that you can love yourself enough to choose differently when it comes to the things that are causing you stress and overwhelm, everything shifts.

You may feel stuck, obligated, or unsure where to begin, but you have more choice in what you continue to allow in your life than you realize. You are more empowered to change your life when you let go of self-judgment and expectations and step into greater awareness, self-compassion, and an understanding of how your nervous system, beliefs, and habits work together.

Life is messy. It rarely unfolds the way we once imagined. Yet, you still have the capacity to curate an amazing life. Life mastery isn’t about perfection or checking boxes—it’s about consciously choosing what belongs in your life and setting boundaries around what doesn’t. More peace is possible for you, and it begins with remembering that you have more choice than you think. Let’s get started!

    What you’ll learn:

    1. How to remove judgment and create space for curiosity as you evaluate what you’re allowing into your life
    2. How to examine your relationship dynamics without blame or unrealistic expectations
    3. Why you have more choice than you realize when it comes to your boundaries
    4. Why shifting your thoughts about your life often requires deeper nervous system and emotional work
    5. How asking “If I deeply loved myself…” is an invitation to self-compassion rather than self-criticism
