CAMPBELL Gillespie is a living miracle. He cheated death when he was struck by lightning. Campbell, who was 39 at the time, was struck by lightning as he ran through a park. As several million volts coursed through his body, he fell face forward into a deep puddle. Only the quick actions of his friends saved his life. The sheet lightning struck a gold chain which Campbell was wearing round his neck. The chain disintegrated but the gold cross attached to it survived without a mark.
