    The wife of the leader of the Cock-Wall burglary gang has pleaded with a judge to allow her jailed son out of prison to testify in her compo case.

    Kathleen Wall, whose husband Edward Wall owes €3 million to CAB, made the request before High Court where she is suing the council over a trip in 2015.

    Mansion owned by crystal meth businessman Nathan McDonnell sold

    The house of jailed garden centre owner Nathan McDonnell has been sold in Tralee but Revenue have laid claim to 50 per cent of the profits.

    McDonnell was jailed last year for 12 years for his role in a plot to export crystal meth to Australia.

    Hennessy torture gang apologise to victim who was branded with the word 'rat'

    Three brothers and a father and son who tortured a man, threatened him with rape and branded him with the word ‘rat’ apologised for their roles in the assault, with one even telling a court he holds ‘no ill will’ to his victim.

    The messages were delivered during a sentence hearing of Jason and Brandon Hennessy along with Kenneth Fitzsimons and his son Dean who pleaded guilty to assaulting causing harm to Barry Moore. 

    Eldest brother Devon Hennessy had earlier pleaded guilty to falsely imprisoning Moore and assisting a criminal organisation to inflict serious harm on him before it became apparent the victim was not going to give evidence.

    All five will be sentenced next month, but today Nicola speaks with Robin Schiller about a violent mob undone by their own arrogance.
