CAMPAIGN GOAL 1: Voice Acting

Now, after a 3-year journey, the current draft of The Sulphuric Secrets Season 2 sits at nearly 4,000 lines of dialogue across more than 150 characters. This would bring life to familiar characters from the 1st season, as well as a long list of new inductees (both fictional, and fictionalised versions of their real-life counterparts).

To do their stories justice, this requires professional voice actors. The sort of voice actors who would take my hundreds of pages of unneccessarily-complex research, notes and redthreading and treat it as the most-extraordinary background information to prepare for their role. 

With your help, I envision a diverse cast to bring nuance and pathos to the conflicts, desires and terror of these characters.

CAMPAIGN GOAL 2: Music and Soundscaping:

For the right musician, this is a career-defining dream project. The Sulphuric Secrets isn't just a horror, but a Tintin-esque kaleidoscope of all the most-fantastical, irreplicable confluences of time and place. 1950s Morocco and Papua New Guinea, 1900s Khorassan, 1960s Havana and London, pre-20th century Manchuria, 1930s Southern America... the list goes on and on. I salivate at the thought of a rich soundscape that pays aural homage to these forgotten times, these rich cultures... and lament my inability to do it justice by myself.

But - in Jack Parsons' world of sex, rockets and the occult, he brings Madame Lumen into a personal world that relives the glory days of The Golden Age of Hollywood, and lays the groundwork for the cultural revolution of the 1960s.

The most epic and ambitious episode yet in terms of scope, today we tell a tale of corruption, conspiracy, magic, the occult and Hollywood to rival classics like "LA Confidential". 

The rise and fall of the Hollywood Studio system was only across the road from, and occurring at the same time as Jack Parsons was heralding the beginning of rocket science. Two subjects that seem to have nothing in common. But like the true meaning of the word 'occult' - their connection is "hidden from view". 

"Black Powder and White Powder" unites the Yin and Yang of this great city, during this unbelievable time. Expect the usual cast of sinister characters as fact and fiction are mixed to uncover this huge Sulphuric Secret - the magical history of Los Angeles from the 1900s - 1940s.

Once again tying together truth and fiction, the conclusion to this two-parter on Heaven's Gate continues the overarching storyline of The Sulphuric Secrets Season 1, while also pointing-out a disturbing inconsistency in the real-life cult's narrative. 

Although this series is a work of fiction, viewers who are fans of the true crime genre will appreciate some surprising, and unsettling discoveries made about the (already unsettling) Heaven's Gate cult, expanded upon in the episode.
