Welcome to the Verdict! We are entering the Jury Room to deliberate on the Netflix documentary "American Murder: The Family Next Door." The film tells the story of the 2018 Watts family murders, which took place in Frederick, Colorado. While being interviewed by police, Christopher Lee Watts admitted to killing his pregnant wife Shan'ann Cathryn Watts by strangulation and their two daughters. It uses archival footage including social media posts, law enforcement recordings, text messages and home video footage to depict the events that occurred.

Her husband Russell Causley is now serving a life sentence for her murder, yet no body has ever been found. Throughout the case he pleaded his innocence and refused to talk. Mark Williams-Thomas re-investigates the disappearance of Carole Packman and begins to retrace Carole's steps. Is her husband to blame? Are more people involved? You decide.

In 1974, 12-year-old Jan Broberg was abducted from a small church-going community in Idaho by trusted neighbor and close family friend Robert Berchtold. The documentary interviews the Broberg family and recounts the horrifying events of their daughter’s abuse and kidnapping. Are there more people to blame than just Berchtold? You decide.
