History often repeats itself. After the Watergate scandal, 48 of Richard Nixon goons were convicted of crimes, and 30 of them went to prison. Before they got caught, Nixon's criminal associates thought they were untouchable. After all, they were committing the crimes together with and for the benefit for the President of the United States. And they believed the president would save them.

But accountability came for Nixon's minions and Donald Trump's goons are committing crimes together with and for the benefit of the president of the United States, and they also think they're untouchable. They think they are beyond the reach of the rule of law. Because after all, the president promised he will have their backs. But we all know Trump will have their backs stabbed.

Accountability WILL come for Donald Trump's henchmen, just the way it came for Richard Nixon's goons.

We have all seen the Trump administration commit horrifying crimes against the American people, documented immigrants, and undocumented immigrants alike, up to and including the killing of Renee Good, Alex Pretti, and others.

Accountability for the crimes being committed by Trump and his administration can be achieved in at least two ways. One way is criminal investigations and prosecutions. But given that the acting Attorney General is Donald Trump's lapdog, criminal investigations and prosecutions very likely will have to wait until the rule of law comes back into the light of day at the Department of Justice in January 2029. But the second form of accountability involves congressional investigations, and congressional investigations are just around the corner. They will commence - after the Democrats take the House of Representatives back after the midterms.

We all know that Trump orchestrated and launched an attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, to try to retain power after he lost a presidential election. We know that in the aftermath of the Capitol attack, thousands and thousands of FBI agents and local police officers around the country, scores of prosecutors, paralegals, legal assistants, grand jurors, trial jurors and judges - tens of thousands of people - worked to hold accountable Trump's angry mob. More than 1600 of them were convicted at trial or pleaded guilty to their crimes.

Then Donald Trump wiped it all away with the most unjust pardons in our nation's history.

And even after Trump delivered those searingly unjust pardons, he wasn't done. He then he had his dirty DOJ leadership wrongfully terminate or demote FBI agents and federal prosecutors who did the hard work of the American people holding those rioters accountable for their crimes.

In another abuse of the rule of law by Trump's dirty DOJ officials, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche's lies are exposed.

On the Fox network, Blanche first said that the Southern Poverty Law Center - an organization that the DOJ criminally indicted in what appears to be a baseless prosecution - never shared information it had gathered about extremist hate groups with the FBI/law enforcement agencies. Days later, Blanche said - on another Fox program, "It is true that over the years they (SPLC) have selectively shared information with law enforcement. That's well-documented and there's no dispute there."
