Inviting you into the conversation with leading educators, scholars, leaders, and us to discuss the issues facing Judaism today. This is not a podcast about books, but what's happening off the page.
This special pre-Pesach episode features a fascinating conversation recorded live in Atlanta with Dr. Marshall Duke and Dr. Rebecca Winter, moderated by Aryeh Grossman, to mark the release of 'The Parsha' by Emily Amrousi.
As we prepare for Pesach, a festival centered around storytelling and passing down our heritage, this conversation feels especially timely. We explore the power of knowing our stories, helping our children understand where they come from, and finding meaningful ways to engage with the weekly parasha — especially as we journey through the complex topics of Sefer Vayikra.
The Parasha set by Emily Amrousi is available now at korenpub.com.

As we prepare for Tisha B’Av, we need little reminding of how fragile and fraught our existence as Jews can be even here in Israel. There have been daily reminders since Simchat Torah of the harsh realities of being a Jew whether in Eretz Yisrael or the diaspora.
We felt it most appropriate this year, therefore, to reshare two of the most powerful conversations we have had this season, the conversations we had with the Geudalia family whose son and brother Yosef fell defending the people of Israel on October 7, and with Rachel Goldberg and Jon Polin whose sone Hersh is still after more than 300 days being held as a hostage by Hamas.
Join us for this week's episode of The Koren Podcast Al Regel Ahat where Aryeh talks to tour guide and experiential Jewish educator Shuli Mishkin about the benefits of learning Torah out in the land, a topic particularly pertinent to the period of the Three Weeks leading into Tisha B'Av.
Shulie Mishkin made Aliyah from New York with a Master's degree in Jewish History from Columbia University. After completing the Ministry of Tourism guide course in 1997, she began guiding professionally and has since taught and guided all ages, from toddlers to retirees. Her tours provide a complete picture of the land of Israel and Jewish heritage, with a strong reliance on sources ranging from the Bible to 19th century travelers' reports. Alongside her regular guide work, she teaches "tour and text" courses in the Jerusalem institutions of Pardes and Matan, and provides tours for special needs students in the “Darkaynu” program.
Shulie lives in Alon Shvut with her husband Jonathan and their five kids.
