Well, we predicted it, everyone. Back in July, I described what the Kamala Harris strategy would be. I wrote that they will try to get people excited about Kamala for about 5 min, and when that does work, they will go back to calling Trump a fascist. And guess what? Here we are. Everyone from Kamala Harris to Keith Olbermann to even Larry Sabato at UVA Center for Politics has been comparing Trump to Hitler and calling him a fascist…so we decided to ask a question…when we look at fascism as an ideology, does one candidate align with their actual objectives? We will put away the political rhetoric and actually look at fascist policies straight from the fascists themselves and ask the question…does either candidate for president actually align with “fascist policies?”

Whenever I have been asked what best prepared me for serving in elected office, I usually quip that before I got into politics, I served in a unit that specialized in unconventional warfare and counter-insurgency, and I'm amazed at how well that prepared me for domestic politics. It's, of course, half tongue in cheek, but there is no question that my time as a Green Beret taught me a lot about leadership. There have been a lot of efforts to assist veterans, but I remember listening to a comedian of all people who was asked if he supported the troops. He responded, "I think our government has learned that it's much cheaper to worship the troops than it is to care for them." Our veterans are honorable members of our society who serve the Republic. They should not be treated as victims, and they shouldn't be used as political pawns. Today's guest on MTA is someone who can speak to this with a level of authority on this issue.
