This episode is all about the Taiwanese presidential election which is taking place in a couple of days on Saturday 13 January 2024. This is a very long episode, but I'm so determined to cover the whole story that I don't mind how long it takes. I feel it's worth spending some time to cover this topic in enough detail to make it easy to follow and informative. This is an important election (like any election) and it's interesting because we genuinely don't know what's going to happen, and the consequences of the different outcomes could be quite drastic. You're going to learn the history Taiwanese presidential election and the statements by 3 leaders from 3 of the main parties. You'll also understand some of the vocabulary and key issues. And no, I'm not going to tell you who I would like to vote for :D – I'll let you try and work that out if you want.
