- 1 hour 51 minutesMick Michaels - Singer/Guitarist/Author - Corners of Sanctuary, When We Rocked
Corners of Sanctuary singer/guitarist Mick Michaels joins Non-Stop Rock Talk to discuss what's happening with the band, but this episode goes deeper then that. Mick and Antonio Aloia have written a fantastic book about the Philadelphia rock scene back in the 80's entitled 'When We Rocked - The Philadelphia Rock Music Scene 1978 - 1992'.
Tyson and Mick do a deep dive into the book and discuss not only the bands we all know and love - Cinderella, Britny Fox, Tangier, Teeze/Roughouse and Heaven's Edge, but bands that had an impact on the scene but may not have gotten record deals or just didn't become household names - World War III, The Dead End Kids, April Fool, Seeker and Anvil Bitch all fall into that category. This interview really gives a lot of insight into what the scene was truly like.
Mick eludes to the fact that there could be another pressing of the book in the future that could include more interviews, photos etc. He also mentions there is a video documentary in the works.
The conversation also touches on the love of legendary Los Angeles band Ratt. 'Invasion of your Privacy', 'Dancing Undercover', 'Reach For The Sky' and the soundtrack song from 'Point Break' - 'Nobody Rides For Free'.
The business side of music is discussed and how so many band didn't realize that there were 'recoupable' costs when they signed their record deals.

Tyson and Pete touch on their love of Butch Walker and The Marvelous 3. How the respect for Butch Walker was so widespread within the music community. How Pete was influenced by Ace Frehley, Van Halen, Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister. Then as the era moved forward into Bon Jovi and of course Poison. 15 June 2026, 3:00 pm - 1 hour 2 minutesRay West and Rob DeLuca - Spread Eagle
Non-Stop Rock Talk welcomes back Ray West and Rob DeLuca of New York City band Spread Eagle to discuss the recording of the bands brand new album 'The Brutal Devine' which drops on June 12th via Frontiers Records.
Although we weren't able to discuss all the tracks as Tyson had not yet been advanced a copy, the conversation was still easy as talking music in general is not something that is a challenge for Tyson. There is always a platform, like an artist with a canvas in front of him. Songs were still available on streaming - 'Flat Earth Vultures' and 'Street Noise' were available to discuss. Rob also goes in depth about the production side of the recording and Ray weighs in on what it is like for him when recording his vocals.
The guitar work of Gianmaria 'Jommy' Puledda is brought up and for the guitar hero fans - his playing is worth paying attention too! Jommy is a killer player and he shines on this recording.
'Brutal Devine' is a very deep, musically pleasing to the ears recording that will intrigue the old fans and bring new ones as well. When you think of the word 'cool', this album fits into that category!
Tyson did get an advance of the album and has had a few listens since the interview - thank you Rob! "The Brutal Devine" is a stellar release which keeps the integrity of recording music intact. This is a true hard rock album which gives the listener a great amount of depth!

14 June 2026, 12:00 pm - 1 hour 42 minutesJohnny Dee - Drummer - Doro Pesch, Tyketto, Britny Fox
Non-Stop Rock Talk welcomes legendary drummer Johnny Dee to discuss the brand new Tyketto album entitled 'Closer to the Sun'. Johnny and Tyson discuss some of the tracks and the studio where the album was recorded. Ironically enough, Johnny had recorded with Waysted 40 years prior at that very studio. Not only had Johnny recorded there, but Rush, Oasis and Coldplay had used the studio as well.
The conversation also goes deep into the Britny Fox story. The club daze even before Johnny joined the band, the recording of 1989's 'Boys in Heat' - how singer Dean Davidson was unhappy with the band for having him remove vocal tracks he had added to the album which may have lead to his dissatisfaction within the band, the proposed original cover/title which never saw the light of day and the things he didn't like about the album when it was released.
The discussion also takes a course about technology - how it has taken the creative side out of not only music but in film as well.
A very intriguing part of this discussion is in relation to a book written by Antonio Aloia and Mick Michaels (Corners of Sanctuary - Season 2 - Episode 38) entitled 'When We Rocked - The Story of the Philadelphia Scene 1978 - 1992'. Johnny had a part in this book as he wrote the forward and he also is quoted many times throughout the reading. A great book that covers the great bands that came out of the Philly circuit - Cinderella, Britny Fox, Tangier, Teeze/Roughouse and Heaven's Edge.
For fans of Britny Fox, Johnny Dee and the Philly scene this is a must listen. It touches on so many aspects that hopefully enhances your listening experience and creates a little bit of nostalgia. Johnny is very well-spoken, intelligent and it is obvious how passionate he is about music.

As a special part of this episode we open the brand vinyl reissue of the bands 'Self-Titled' debut and discuss the gatefold, the pictures and the material. 23 May 2026, 12:00 pm - 1 hour 2 minutesDavid Reece - Singer/Songwriter - Bangalore Choir, Ex-Accept
David Reece returns to Non-Stop Rock Talk to discuss all things Bangalore Choir. The writing of new material for the next Bangalore album. The latest video for "I Never Meant To" on BraveWords Records. David's feelings on re-recording of the classic Accept song 'Prisoner' on the latest album 'Rapid Succesion: On Target II'.
Tyson brings up the point to David, that Mark Slaughter was correct in stating that a new executive at MTV was the one that created the downfall in the early 90's which lead to the demise of the 80's 'hard rock' era. Corporate sponsorship also played into the equation which opens up a whole can of worms.
Now, the show does get a little serious, with Tyson and David discussing world issues, possibly not a rock talk, but it does get to a point of music. The perspective at one point relates to a certain Metallica song from 'Master of Puppets'. Through the seriousness of the world, the two are able to bring it back to music. The Beatles are mentioned as the conversation touches on musicians who believe in freedom of speech but are taken in the wrong context for their words.
