    FORT CAMPBELL: The Taco Bell Massacre (Case Against Courtney Mathews)

    The closing crew of Taco Bell was running behind schedule on January 30th, 1994…, but what they didn’t know was that one of their own was hiding in a bathroom, waiting to rob the restaurant, and this person was determined to not leave any witnesses.


    This is the story of the 1994 Taco Bell Massacre - the murders of Patricia Price, Kevin Campbell, Angela Wyatta, and Marsha Klopp. Two people would stand trial for these murders - Courtney Mathews and David Housler. One would later be exonerated.

    UNSOLVED: Jack P. Wheeler III

    Jack P. Wheeler III was a well respected government worker. He retired in the mid 2000s after working some very high profile positions. But then, in retirement, he didn’t fully retire, working as a defense contractor for the Mitre Corporation. 


    While living between Delaware and DC, Jack and his wife spent the holidays in NYC, but before the New Year, Jack returned to work doing some last minute things. 


    Sadly though, Jack was found dead in a landfill. His case is still unsolved.

    On September 11, 2007, 9-year Matthew dialed 911 to report the murder of his mother, Tracy Burke, and grandmother, Karen Comer. The murder investigation would lead detectives to Tracy’s estranged husband, Army Sergeant Brent Burke. 


    He would face 5 trials for the homicides.

    FLIEGERHORST KASERNE: Amanda Gonzalez (Arrest of Shannon Wilkerson)

    In 2001, when PFC Amanda Gonzalez was found dead in her barracks room on Fliegerhorst Kaserne - she was 4 and a half months pregnant with a baby girl. There were a few rumors about the possible suspect, but Amanda’s case remained cold for decades, despite a reward of up to $125,000 for information leading to an arrest. And then, in 2023, there was an arrest and while the arrest surprised many, the suspect was in law enforcement’s purview from the very beginning, they were just waiting for DNA technology to improve. 


    Join Margot as she discusses Amanda Gonzalez’s cold case and the 2023 arrest of Army veteran Shannon Wilkerson, who was subsequently charged with her murder. Wilkerson’s federal trial is scheduled to begin on April 8, 2024. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
