The Planet Storytime Podcast (PSP) is a wonderful story narration and music program for kids of all ages that provides listeners the invitation and opportunity to use their imaginations to see all the things they're hearing in each of our shows. We divide our time between providing fully original content and adaptations of timeless classics. Thomas Mitchell provides amazing narration while Paxton Stanley provides all the music and sound effects. Bringing these two talents together creates wonderful artistic synergy and great programs in the same spirit as Fred Rogers and Sesame Street. Great for bedtime, short/long road trips, or family sit-downs in the living room, PSP provides stories that appeal to all races, religions, and identities with a focus on building confidence, tolerance, and the belief that through hard work and self-awareness, anything is possible!

This message is long overdue - apologies for the delay!
Given a lack of tangible support from our audience, be it in the form of engagement via email or support via Patreon, Thomas and Pax opted to close the doors on the story development department in 2024.
These things happen and that's okay:) But given the large body of timeless, kid-friendly content created between 2019 and 2022, and the fact that new listeners show up every month, we've let the podcast exist so that all kids, worldwide, still have access to every story we've ever created.
That will never change and someday, kids that started listening to our show years ago will hopefully return with their own children to listen again.
But with story development in the rearview mirror, Tom and Pax turned their attention to their lifelong passion - MUSIC. And now that they have wrapped up their new album, you will see some of the songs from that album appear here as new content.

Today we bring your a remix/remaster of 221, a song we released back in early 2022, as performed by Rubber Plane. While the original has always been one of our favorites, it was in need of a facelift prior to the release of our new album (this will be the lead single off the new album - album details to follow in the weeks ahead.
221 is about coming together despite our differences. It's about solidarity.
Now more than ever, we need to learn to accept each other, despite such stark differences in our beliefs. Now more than ever we must seek to be ONE with our fellow humans and our planet.

Also, we make use of music from one of the greats - Bedřich Smetana's, "Dance of the Comedians", from his comic opera, The Bartered Bride, arranged and adapted for our story by *Pax Stanley.
