Revisiting WWF RAW 1996 - Jim Ross Brings Razor Ramon & Diesel Back To The WWF!
"Far as I know, that's Razor Ramon!"
On this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast, we take a look back at this episode of WWF Monday Night RAW from September 30th, 1996. Everyone has been glued to their screens, waiting for the returns of Razor Ramon & Diesel to the WWF. Everyone thought they were long gone, taking over WCW as Scott Hall & Kevin Nash, but Good Ol' Jim Ross has come up with an unbelievable plan which involves bringing the very real Razor Ramon & Diesel back home. We've seen glimpses of them, and last week on RAW, JR re-introduced The Bad Guy to the WWF! It is 100% without a doubt a man named Razor Ramon.
We're blessed with the in-ring return of Razor Ramon here on RAW, as well as promised an appearance by Big Daddy Cool, Diesel! Gorilla Monsoon, Jerry Lawler, Kevin Kelly, and really the entire company all have an issue with this. Gorilla Monsoon goes as far as to come out during Razor Ramon's match to tell JR that the WWF had nothing to do with this, and that this is very obviously NOT Razor Ramon or Diesel!
Undertaker & Mankind are getting themselves prepared for the first ever "Buried Alive" match at In Your House, and what better way to prepare themselves than to hang around in a graveyard and mess with some dirt?
Also on this episode, Stone Cold Steve Austin goes one-on-one with Jake Roberts, The Godwinns take on The Grimms, and we can't forget our huge main event! Shawn Michaels teams up with his mentor, Jose Lothario, to take on the team of Vader & Jim Cornette!
All of that, and much more, on this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast!

Revisiting WWE RAW 2007 - Kevin Federline Faces John Cena
"I'd like to formally introduce myself.."
It's a new year for the WWE. In fact, it's New Year's Day! It's January 1st, 2007, and the big match going into this one is the first time encounter between John Cena, and "A-List Celebrity" Kevin Federline. Federline cost Cena a match at the Cyber Sunday PPV a couple months back, and then challenged him to this match here on the first RAW of the year. Yes, Kevin Federline made the challenge to the current WWE Champion, and he accepted.
Kevin Federline isn't the only person John Cena has to worry about, though. We're less than a week away from WWE New Year's Revolution, where Cena will be defending his WWE Championship against Umaga. Not only will we see these two also go at it on this show, but Jonathan Coachman, the man in charge of RAW, puts himself, Umaga, Armando Estrada, & Johnny Nitro in a 4-on-1 handicap match against Cena as well!
Speaking of New Year's Revolution, Rated RKO & D-Generation X are set to go at it after weeks of Edge & Randy Orton attacking Shawn Michaels & Triple H, as well as one of their close friends & mentors, Ric Flair. DX, of course, address this in the only way they know how.
Ric Flair will also be wrestling on this show, as he teams with Carlito to take on Kenny Dykstra, who just beat Ric Flair last week, and Chris Masters, who will face Carlito at the PPV. Also on this show, Jeff Hardy faces Rob Conway in a match where Conway puts his career on the line, Melina takes on Maria, and Cryme Tyme (Shad & JTG) team with The Highlanders (Robbie & Rory McAllister) to face Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, & The World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas).
It doesn't get more 2007 than this.
All of that, and much more, on this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast!
Revisiting WWF Superstars of Wrestling 1991 - Jake Roberts' Snake Bites Macho Man!
"GET RANDY SAVAGE OUTTA' THERE!"
One of the most insane moments to take place in pro-wrestling history not only happened on television, but it was long before the WWF had an 'attitude'!
On this episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast, we take a look back at this episode of WWF Superstars of Wrestling from November 23, 1991, where Jake "The Snake" Roberts unleashes his deadliest attack on "Macho Man" Randy Savage. With Macho Man trapped in the ropes, Jake Roberts brought a King Cobra over to him just so it could take a big bite out of Macho Man's arm! Censored on some stations, uncensored on others, this was one of the craziest things to happen on WWF TV.
We're also on the road to WWF Survivor Series 1991, which took place on the Wednesday following this episode of Superstars of Wrestling. The biggest match on the card is the "Gravest Challenge", which puts current WWF Champion Hulk Hogan against The Undertaker. We hear from both of them, especially The Undertaker, throughout the night.
Speaking of Survivor Series, you can't have a Survivor Series without the traditional Survivor Series matches! Survivor Series! We hear from various teams on this show, like the team of the Legion of Doom & Big Bossman, as well as the team of Ric Flair, The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase, The Mountie, and The Warlord!
We do get some wrestling on this show, as well! Many of the best enhancement talent in the world step up to the plate here, to take on the likes of "El Matador" Tito Santana, Skinner and Texas Tornado. Bret Hart also defends the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Big Bully Busick!
All of that, and much more, on this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast!
Revisiting WWF RAW Is WAR 1999 - The Rock, The British Bulldog, & The Dog Poop
"INTO THE DOG POOP! THE DOG POOP!"
Some moments just last the tests of time, and somehow, this is one of them for us. On this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast, we take a look back at this episode of WWF RAW is WAR from October 11, 1999. We're less than a week away from WWF No Mercy, which means we have to cram as much as possible into this show, as well as SmackDown!, before the PPV. We're also in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia, so the WWF is ready to take as many shots at WCW as possible!
In our main event, that is announced halfway through the show, The Rock & Sock Connection of The Rock & Mankind will team up to take on The British Bulldog & Val Venis, who had just attacked Mankind earlier in the night. The Rock has plans for his opponent at WWF No Mercy, The British Bulldog, and those plans involve a group of bulldogs spending the night in the arena, so he can collect ALL of their dog poop. Yes, The Rock came up with this plan, just so he could hit The British Bulldog with The Rock Bottom onto a tray of dog poop.
Also on this show, Jim Ross has his first wrestling match ever. We couldn't believe it either! Triple H has pushed JR over the edge, causing him to attack him from behind. Stone Cold Steve Austin gave an assist to take out Triple H, leading to Triple H & Chyna both challenging Stone Cold & JR to a tag match tonight.
There is somehow so much more on this show. We get an update on Stephanie McMahon's condition after Bulldog accidentally threw a STEEL TRASH CONTAINER at her head. Ivory has a non-title match against Mae Young. X-Pac doesn't want Kane's help, as he goes one-on-one with Faarooq. The New Brood of Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy take on Edge & Christian in another Terri Invitational Tournament match. The Big Show gets some horrible news, and The Big Bossman is here to make it worse.
All of that, and SO much more, on this episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast!
Revisiting TNA iMPACT 2007 - Kurt Angle Interrogates The Roster To Find Sting's Mystery Partner!
The constantly paranoid Kurt Angle is back at it again, only slightly removed from the episode where he went to Sting's son's baseball game, and then attacked him in the parking lot. This time, Kurt is trying to figure out who is going to team up with Sting at TNA Genesis 2007, as he's been placed in a tag team match for his World Heavyweight Championship.
Yes, that's right. The TNA World Championship is on the line in a tag team match on PPV. Kurt is teaming up with his now-rival, Kevin Nash, to take on Sting & a partner of Sting's choosing. Kurt has taken it upon himself, with help from his partner-in-crime "JB" Jeremy Borash, to interrogate the members of the TNA roster to find out who this mystery partner could be. From Jay Lethal, to Robert Roode, to Kip James & BG James, and everyone in-between, they all have to take a seat and get questioned by Kurt Angle.
While this is going on, we do have some wrestling! The TNA World Tag Team Championships are on the line, as the current champions AJ Styles & Tomko take on LAX, Homicide & Hernandez. The Fight For Your Right tournament for a shot at the TNA World Championship is also going on, as we're onto the semi finals. James Storm is set to take on Kaz, and Christian Cage was meant to take on Junior Fatu (Rikishi), but he is not here. We do not know why. Does anyone want to tell us why?
Kevin Nash is also on his own mission to find out who Sting's partner is at the PPV, and we check in on him through the night as he makes some phone calls to some "friends". One of them may or may not be X-Pac.
Also, Team 3D continue their fight against the X-Division, now going after the Motor City Machine Guns of Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley. Awesome Kong also goes one-on-one with Christy Hemme, with her sights set on the TNA Knockout's Champion, Gail Kim. It also wouldn't be 2007 TNA without an appearance from BLACK REIGN!
All of this, and SO much more, on this episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast!
Revisiting Lucha Underground Season 1, Episode 4 - The Debut of King Cuerno
"You're the first prey...of KING CUERNO!"
The boys are back in the Temple, as we continue on our Lucha Underground series! On this episode of Lucha Underground, we are introduced to King Cuerno, as he takes on Drago. Dario Cueto wasn't impressed with Drago last week in the three-way main event, and tonight, he has a chance to prove himself against the debuting savage.
Speaking of that three-way main event from episode 3, the other two men that were in that match, Pentagon Jr. and Fenix, will also have a match tonight! How can they possibly top what they did before? We also see a singles match between Sexy Star & the girlfriend of Son of Havoc, Ivelisse.
In this week's main event, we finally get to see Johnny Mundo attempt to get his revenge on the man that has been attacking him with his goons for weeks, Big Ryck. Will Big Ryck's henchmen get involved, and will Prince Puma ignore the words of his mentor Konnan and have Mundo's back tonight?
All of that, and much more, on this episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast!
Revisiting WCW Monday Nitro 1995 - Madusa Throws The WWF Women's Title In The Trash!
"Now, THIS is where the Big Girls play..."
On December 18, 1995, WCW continued to ride the wave of momentum they had been creating over the past few months with their flagship show, WCW Monday Nitro. On this episode of Nitro, in the very first segment of the show, we are introduced to the newest member of the WCW roster. Not only the newest member of the roster, but the current WWF Women's Champion?!
Alundra Blayze, now known as Madusa, made her debut in a big way. Something that we rarely seen on national pro-wrestling television. Madusa took the WWF Women's Championship to the competition, and threw it in the trash.
We also have some big matches on this show, including the first ever 1-on-1 encounter between Ric Flair & Eddie Guerrero. The WCW World Heavyweight Championship is also on the line in our main event, as "Macho Man" Randy Savage defends the big gold against The Giant, who of course has his crazy crew with him of Jimmy Hart & The Taskmaster.
Also, Lex Luger takes on Marcus Alexander Bagwell (also known as Buff Bagwell later on), Sting takes on Earl Robert Eaton (Bobby Eaton!), and of course, Hulk Hogan makes an appearance, despite him being on PROBATION!
All of that, and much more, on this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast!
Revisiting WWF RAW is WAR 1997 - Go-Home To WrestleMania 13, Bret Hart SNAPS!
"THIS IS BULL.."
We're on the road to WWF WrestleMania 13, but before we get there, we have to set into the WAR ZONE. That's right, it's WWF Monday Night RAW is WAR, which is a really long name that eventually is just WWF RAW is WAR! There's a lot of big matches coming up on this PPV, and we get a little piece of all of them on this very show.
Of course, this is the episode of RAW where Bret Hart, after a main event cage match for the WWF Championship against Sycho Sid, loses his mind. He feels like everyone is against him, and he decides to take out that frustration verbally after pushing Vince McMahon down to the canvas! That main event also includes run-ins from Stone Cold Steve Austin & The Undertaker, who both want their opponent at WrestleMania 13 to leave this show with the WWF Championship, so they can get a shot at it.
Also on this show, we get to hear from Shawn Michaels, who just recently returned to the WWF, and we get an updated on his condition. Faarooq & Ahmed Johnson are barred from ringside during a match between the Legion of Doom & the Nation of Domination, which leads to some backstage chaos between the two. Ken Shamrock is here to scout a legend in Aaron Ferguson, and Billy Gunn also happens to be here getting in the way of that.
Of course, we have to mention the REAL main event; Mini Vader & Mini Mankind take on Mini Goldust & Mascarita Sagrada. It does not get any better than this.
All of that, and much more, on this episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast!
Revisiting ECW Hardcore TV 1996 - Beulah Is Pregnant! Plus, The 7th Annual DEADIES!
"IT'S TOMMY'S?!"
On this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast, we take a look back at this episode of ECW Hardcore TV from January 16, 1996. ECW only continues to get bigger, and the bigger they get, the crazier the show gets. This is a prime example of ECW at it's most "ECW".
In one of the more infamous moments in company history, Beulah McGillicutty, Raven's "girlfriend", has a confession on this episode, and it's that she's pregnant. Raven immediately thinks it's Stevie Richards, and attacks him, only for Beulah to finally admit that the baby's father is Tommy Dreamer. Also on this show, we see the return of "The Franchise" Shane Douglas, coming off of his run in the WWF as Dean Douglas. He's back, and he has mind set on fixing ECW; and he starts by slapping Buh Buh Ray Dudley in the face. Buh Buh, of course, has a match with Gigolo Jimmy Del Ray!
This episode also starts with the most insane 20 minutes of back-to-back moments, including the likes of Bill Alfonso, Taz, 911, Rey Mysterio Jr, The Eliminators, and somehow even more than that!
Of course, we can't forget the most prestigious award show going; The DEADIES! That's right, the 7th Annual DEADIES are here, and we have all of the results from your votes for the 2025 season. We go over every category and find out who you chose to win DEADIES awards! HOORAY!
Revisiting Lucha Underground Season 1, Episode 3 - The Debut of Pentagon Jr, Fenix, & Drago!
THIS...IS A TEMPLE!
The boys are back in town for the 2nd time this week, with DOUBLE DEADLOCK, to continue on the first season of LUCHA UNDERGROUND! We're at the third episode now, and business is really starting to pick up for Dario Cueto. We have a big main event, consisting of three luchadors that will become mainstays here in Lucha Underground for years to come.
Konnan has told Dario Cueto that he can't say that his Temple has the best luchadores in the world, if he doesn't have these three talents from Mexico; Pentagon Junior, Fenix, and Drago. Dario decides that not only does he want to see the three of them, but he wants the three of them to face off against each-other tonight!
Also on this show, we see Mil Muertes step into the ring once again, as his manager, Catrina, continues to promise members of the roster that 1,000 deaths are coming from them. One of those people being Chavo Guerrero, who is now finding out that everyone is out to get him because of what he did to the legendary Blue Demon Jr.
We also get the Lucha Underground debut of a lucha legend, and of course, a DEADLOCK legend, in Mascarita Sagrada!
All of that, and so much more, on this special episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast!
