Merle kicks things off with 2 spooky stories. The first, a nightmare leads to a physical ghostly manifestation. In the second, a ghost hunter gets a personal message at a haunted house .... BUT ... the second message isn't so nice.

Next, Merle plays 2 EVPs for you to discern while Jake critically judges.

In the last segment, we get the history of spirit boxes, our experiences, a few ghost hunting tips, and Jake mentions his favorite spirit box.

In Des Moines, Iowa, a group of teenage girls dare one of their friends to summon Bloody Mary. It all seemed to follow the traditional urban legend ... until it came to blow out the candle. 

Later, we examine the original legend, how this encounter differs, and how a new tradition may spring from it. Plus, who knew Iowa was such a hotbed of Bloody Mary activity?!

In February 2013, Jake investigated the Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago. He and his BFF, Saleen, spent 6 hours documenting creepy, ghostly activities. When they went back to their room, Jake decided to see if he could summon Bloody Mary because why not.

Hi Ghostlies! As we get closer to spooky season, Jake did a little deep dive into the origins of the phrase, spooky season, and how it caught on to be a season unto itself.

It was surprising to see how old the term really is, even if it didn't necessarily mean a month of festivities and feelings at first. 

Also, the state that first started using spooky season was what you'd think. It's not from New England. It's not from the Midwest. Wait 'til you hear where spooky season started.
