What can you do if you're the victim of revenge porn or cyberbullying? Shockingly little, says journalist and activist Darieth Chisolm, who found herself living the nightmare scenario of having explicit photos taken without her knowledge or consent posted online. 

"The doctor said, ‘I guarantee you she won’t see her first birthday’ … I just remember running out of the office, grabbing Callie out of my mother’s arms – and just running.” Tabitha Truelove, speaks of her daughter  with softness in her voice.

“As a mom, I just wanted her to be well … so I prayed,” she says. “Whatever your will is. Take her now, 10 years from now – whatever it is, that’s what I want.” Tabitha kept that prayer close to her heart ever since. And 13 years later, as Tabitha sits beside her smiling daughter, she looks back on how it all began.

Claire spent the first 36 years of her life in two different strict religious movements. Although both based on Catholicism, the latter group was a bit more sinister. The leader of that group was jailed for pedophilia after abusing his power by molesting teenage girls.

After challenging the leaders’ authority through a series of letters, Claire and her family were evicted from the latter group. For the first time in her life Claire was free, albeit with 8 children in tow. She tells us her incredible story of survival and freedom.

Chiara's emotional talk covers the subject of domestic abuse. “I chose this topic because violence against women is still seen as a taboo and more specifically a ‘women’s issue’ when really, it is everyone’s problem. I would like to challenge you to dispel any stereotypes they may have about abuse. If I can help just one person free themselves of an abusive relationship with my words, then that would be one less person living in unjust suffering.
