Being Tired Shouldn't Be an Excuse

Today is Blessed Chiara "Luce" Badano's feast day and She is my daughter's namesake! So while reflecting on her life today, I came across this quote that she said that had me stop and think. “I have nothing left but I still have my heart and with that, I can always love." I've been feeling pretty burnout recently and I've found that it can sometimes affect how I love and treat others. This quote really put that into perspective.

Hope you might benefit from this short podcast! Send a DM if you want to talk more about it! Keep living ardently, peace!✌🏽

From Prison to Barbershop Owner with William Humbles

After a four-month hiatus, we are back! In this episode, we have William Humbles sharing his story with us. From a troubled childhood that led him to be imprisoned to having a conversion and become a business owner within weeks of getting out of prison. He takes us into the journey of his life and transformation in a unique way.

Since William is a barber, I thought it would be cool to get a haircut from him while recording the podcast. So yes, you will hear the clippers going off while we hold a conversation but it wont be for the entire episode, I promise. Hope you enjoy this, because I really did.

Also, believe it or not, this is the first person we interviewed this year! As a matter of fact, it's the first guess on the show since November 2021, ep. 91 with Sonia. So it was great to have the opportunity to do this again.

Hoping to get back to at least monthly routine, but no promises, since my Tech YouTube Channel is our main priority when it comes to side projects. But becoming more consistent is definitely a desire and a goal of mine. For now, enjoy this podcast and Keep living ardently, peace!✌🏽

94: My Issue with the Oscars Incident and Cancel Culture

This episode was recorded on a whim. As a fan of Will Smith I was disappointed in his actions.  Further context help me understand why he would but still wish he hadn’t done that to Chris Rock.  What I hated to see these pass couple days were the responses from fellow fans, other celebrities and everyone that had something to say about Will and Chris.  I’ve had a major issue with “cancel culture” for years now. This incident has made my hate for that culture even more. I believe cancel culture is counter intuitive, unproductive and un-Christlike. So this episode was just me ranting about my issue with all of it. This won’t be the last time I talk about this cancel culture issue cause I have much more to say. For now enjoy my late night 2am rant on this entire situation. Keep living ardently, peace!

93: Learning To Be Present (Again)

If you don’t follow us on Social Media, you wouldn’t know that our daughter was born! Chiara Rose Garalde has made her grand appearance on Jan 18th! Now that we are two weeks into this whole parenthood thing, a lot has changed! Cliché I know! But It has truly been a life changing experience! My main lesson that I’ve learned so far is being present. Something I thought I knew well already.  This little girl has help take that to another level. Hope yall enjoy today’s episode. We are going back to the basics and keeping episodes simple and audio only for a bit. Doing this will make keeping up with the podcast much more doable. Sorry if you enjoy watching the episodes on YouTube! They will be back in the future! Thanks for understanding!

Walk & Talk: Finding New Friends

This Walk & Talk is from Day 9 of the Mile a Day Challenge this past Sunday. I forgot to edit and upload this till now! Haven’t recorded any more since so far. But Plan on doing this less often for now. I’ll record another one when I have something in mind to talk about. I don’t want to force these episodes. Today I talk about making new friends especially when you are new to a town like Sarah and I are. This is our reality right now and admittedly still figuring it out. I talk about what I think what has been helpful for us. Hope yall enjoy!

    Walk & Talk: Pet Peeves

This was from day 6 of the Mile a Day Challege and was cut super short because it was so cold, and I didn’t know what to talk about for half my walk because I was to distracted from the windchill which was -5 degrees. Eventually got onto the topic of pet peeves and you may know some of mine if you follow us on Instagram but I run down all my other ones. Let me know what your pet peeves are and enjoy!

Walk & Talk: Mentorship is Essential!

Day 7 of the mile a day challenge was the coldest one yet! It was 6 degrees and but surprisingly not too bad. Although, when I originally recored and finished my mile I realized that my phone stopped recording so nothing I said during my walk was recorded! But I liked the talk so much that I had to go ahead and rerecord from the warmth and comfort of my couch.  So no labored breathing in this podcast haha! Hope yall enjoy, and please consider finding a mentor this year if you don’t already have one!
