Simon Dunmore is famed as the Founder of seminal House music label Defected Records. With a keen ear for good music, Simon's career had already seen him succeed as a DJ and record promoter, however it was his unwavering passion for House music that helped him launch Defected in 1999 and transform the label into a globally recognised brand that has been pivotal in shaping the scene as we know it today. Having moved on from the label in 2022, we caught Simon in a reflective mood, eager to tell us about his journey so far and hint at what exciting plans he might have for the future.
