Dr. Joshua Bennett is an Assistant Professor of English and Creative Writing at Dartmouth College. He is the author of The Sobbing School (Penguin, 2016)—which was a National Poetry Series selection and a finalist for an NAACP Image Award—as well as Being Property Once Myself: Blackness and the End of Man, which is forthcoming from Harvard University Press. Bennett holds a Ph.D. in English from Princeton University, and an M.A. in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of Warwick, where he was a Marshall Scholar. ⁣

Etienne Maurice is a filmmaker, actor, and activist, who is dedicated to using his creative passions for social change. Etienne‘s mission is to build his community in the virtual and physical space through the film, health, and wellness. Outraged by the injustices against Black and Brown people, he initiated WalkGood LA, a non profit arm to his production company, WalkGood Productions. Recognizing the need for community healing, Etienne joined forces with his younger sister and cousin, to organize community yoga classes and artists initiative in the Los Angeles neighborhood and beyond.
