Have you ever thought about utilizing podcasts in your lesson plans? In reviewing the many ways the "influencers" use podcasts when they write books or want to get information out, why can't we as teachers do the same with our content?
This episode briefly explores three ways that middle school teachers (or any age group for that matter) can use podcast applications in the classroom and within teaching strategies:
1. Directions for assignments.
2. Interviewing and engaging student participation.
3. To pre-record articles for the classroom, to allow time for vocabulary breakdown. Not mentioned in the podcast, but it aids in behavior management. A teacher can walk around the room while their podcast of an article is playing... an added bonus!
