    Valerie Taylor is a global marine pioneer, conservationist, award-winning photographer, and filmmaker featured in the Sundance documentary "Playing With Sharks". With her husband Ron Taylor, she caught the first footage of great white sharks without the protection of a cage and shot the underwater sequences for Steven Spielberg's "Jaws" (1975).

    Taylor is the subject of the Sundance 2021 documentary selection "Playing With Sharks".
