Carl Jung believed that dreams were the psyche’s attempt to communicate important things  to the individual, and he valued them highly, perhaps above all else, as  a way of knowing what was really going on. Dreams are also an important  part of the development of the personality – a process that he called individuation. The basic idea behind Jungian dream theory is that dreams reveal more than they conceal.  They are a natural expression of our imagination and use the most  straightforward language at our disposal: mythic narratives.  

A dream is a succession of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations that usually occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. The content and purpose of dreams are not fully understood, although they have been a topic of scientific, philosophical and religious interest throughout recorded history. Dream interpretation is the attempt at drawing meaning from dreams and searching for an underlying message. The scientific study of dreams is called oneirology.

Many people have experienced waking up in the middle of the night; unable to move and seeing a figure stand before them in the shadows. Commonly referred to as "shadow people" by the paranormal community, these figures are haunting, frightening, and are the cause of many sleepless nights for countless people. More and more people have come forward with their experiences of coming across shadow people; each somehow more frightening than the last.  Thousands of people have seen them, and yet their purpose and what they want remains unknown.

Remote viewing (RV) is the practice of seeking impressions about a distant or unseen target, purportedly using extrasensory perception (ESP) or "sensing" with the mind. Remote viewing experiments have historically been criticized for  lack of proper controls and repeatability. There is no scientific  evidence that remote viewing exists, and the topic of remote viewing is  generally regarded as pseudoscience.

In 1984, the CIA was conducting experiments on remote-viewers; it was apparent that their potential in being assets to the intelligence community was greater than what could be achieved at the time. Countless experiments and tests were conducted to yield psychic readings and impressions from remote viewers on what the CIA thought to be people of interest.

One such test can be found via transcript on the CIA's website. This test was different than the other tests.
