Elizabeth A. T. Smith is an American art historian, museum curator, writer, and presently the executive director of the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation.[1] She has formerly held positions as a curator at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA), the chief curator and deputy director of programs at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, and the executive director, curatorial affairs, at the Art Gallery of Ontario. She is the author of numerous books on art and architecture, including Blueprints for Modern Living: History and Legacy of the Case Study Houses of which we will be discussing in more detail in today’s podcast.

Shari Stahl who is proud care taker of the Case Study House #22. She is the daughter of Buck & Carlotta Stahl who hired Pierre Koenig to build their family home in the hills of Los Angeles. Many of you have seen their home in pictures and fewer of us have been lucky enough to have visited it. Just over a year ago Shari & her husband joined us on one of our monthly home tours here in Boise. Jickie Torres is the new Brand Leader of Atomic Ranch Magazine. She has been preparing for this role since she was 9 years old when she began reporting on family exploits in her self-published newspaper, The Torres Times. Now, along with her experience in renovating her own 1951 mid-century home she seems to have found her most perfect role. In fact, the evolution of Atomic Ranch might not even have been a thing if it wasn’t for Jickie. We are excited to share more of her story with you on today’s episode.
