The San Francisco Giants escaped American Family Field with a series split after a 20-hit explosion powered them over the Milwaukee Brewers, 12-9. The runs came in bunches today, as the San Francisco Giants did all of their damage across just three innings. Former Milwaukee Brewer Eric Haase played a key role in the win over his former team today, as he smashed a grand slam in the 7th inning. Jung Hoo Lee and Bryce Eldridge continued their recent success as the two combined for seven hits, a walk, five runs, and two RBI in 10 plate appearances today. Despite the San Francisco Giants leading 12-3 at one point in this game, the end of this game was pretty stressful, which is very on-brand for this team.

Vintage Logan Webb showed up when the Giants desperately needed him. After a brutal stretch that saw the club lose seven of eight, Webb stopped the bleeding and helped the Giants secure a much-needed win. It doesn't erase the bigger problems, but it does provide a reminder of what this team looks like when its ace is at his best.

The San Francisco Giants finally produced a night worth cheering for as Logan Webb looked like his old self, spinning seven shutout innings and only giving up one hit in a 1-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. The lone run in the game came via Victor Bericoto's first career major league home run. Keaton Winn got the San Francisco Giants out of two tight jams, one in the eighth inning and another in the ninth, to record his first career five-out save. The biggest takeaway from tonight is that Logan Webb is regaining his form, and the San Francisco Giants will have to seriously consider whether or not they should trade him before the deadline and fully commit to the rebuild.

The San Francisco Giants continue searching for answers, and now even manager Tony Vitello is hinting that tougher conversations may be necessary. During a candid appearance on KNBR, Vitello suggested that a little conflict might not be the worst thing for a struggling team, acknowledging that there are moments when difficult truths need to be said. The San Francisco Giants hit a new low, getting embarrassed yet again by the Arizona Diamondbacks. In just 10 days, the Giants faced Arizona six times and lost all six games, getting outscored 39-17 in the process. The latest loss featured more of the same: sloppy defense, bad baserunning, and missed opportunities. The Giants are now 0-29 when trailing after six innings and have fallen 12 games under .500 for the first time since 2019.

The frustrating part? Trevor McDonald deserved better. Once again, he gave the Giants a chance to win, strengthening the argument that he needs to remain in the rotation moving forward. Meanwhile, the team's inability to play clean baseball continues to be a defining characteristic of the season.

We also dive into a growing concern that extends beyond wins and losses: asset management. From Kyle Harrison and Otto Lopez to Spencer Miles, Wade Meckler, and others, are the Giants maximizing the talent in their organization? Or are they continuing to lose value while searching for answers at the major-league level? As the losses pile up, those questions are becoming harder to ignore.

The San Francisco Giants were just a few outs from avoiding being swept for the second time in the last three series, but baserunning blunders and a costly error harpooned their would-be win, ultimately falling 3-2 to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Third base coach Hector Borg is now a household name for San Francisco Giants fans, and not for good reason. He has now cost the team multiple wins this season with terrible sends in key moments, and Borg's decision to send Willy Adames home in the bottom of the 8th inning was just the latest in a long line of mistakes he has made this season. This team is becoming very adept at finding creative ways to lose a baseball game.
