Pastor Jason takes us systematic, Jesus-centric, expository, journey through the Bible.
Pastor Jason takes a look at the beautiful prophecy from Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist. In this prophecy we see the real meaning of Christmas... a rescue mission.
The following teaching is from the house church that currently meets in Jason and Regina's living room in Lengefeld, Germany. Jason is currently teaching through the Gospel of John. The teachings are given in English and then translated into German. The recording quality isn't always the best, but it hopefully gives you the feeling that you are in the house with them! May God bless you as you listen and may you be drawn closer to Jesus.
Have you ever felt God was a million miles away? Have you ever felt that God was looking on idly while evil seems to run ramped? You are not alone. Habakkuk, a man of God, grappled with the same questions. But, he ends up expressing one of the most incredible proclamations of faith and praise. How did the transformation occur? Listen as Pastor Jason gives an overview of this powerful, little, book. May you be encouraged and full of faith and praise after you hear it
Just a short devotional thought as we approach Christmas. Jesus came to save and is coming again to rule. (please excuse the poor audio quality).
This is a special message given at Calvary Chapel Petaluma. Pastor Jason gives a lesson on faith from Joshua 3.
"Choose who you are going to serve. If God is God, follow Him, if Baal is god, follow him; but you cant do both!"- That is the message of Elijah to God's people in this classic chapter. As Pastor Jason points out, it is just as relevant to us today. Though this chapter is about Elijah battling the prophets of Baal, it is really about God battling for the hearts of His people. That same battle rages today. God wants our hearts.
Here in Mark 5, Pastor Jason looks at one of the "weirdest" stories in Jesus' ministry. Though there are some strange details to this encounter, at it's core it is the story of a man who was "sought and saved" by Jesus! It is also a picture of the gospel.
All of us at one time or another will face a crisis. It is in those times that faith is all important. In Isaiah 7, King Ahaz is in the crisis of his life. God sends Isaiah to bring an encouragement and an exhortation.
Feeling overwhelmed? Worried? Stressed? In this life it is so easy to be overwhelmed by anxiety. In 1 Peter 5:7, Peter exhorts us to cast (throw) those anxieties upon the Lord. This is a wonderful text and will no doubt bring you encouragement.
If ever there were a time when the church needs to be awakened again to the power, privilege and priority of prayer, it's now. In Acts 4 we get to join with the early church in a special prayer meeting and learn some important & timely lessons.
In this last chapter in Leviticus, Moses passes down regulations regarding "vows". Thought this chapter is something of an "appendix" to what Moses has already delivered, God clearly had more He wanted to communicate. Once more we will find practical application for our lives as well.
