Two words carry the weight of the entire Gospel: "But now." After weeks in Romans establishing the depth of human sin and the impossibility of self-righteousness, Pastor Lawrence arrives at the hinge point of Paul's letter — Romans 3:21–26 — and unpacks six essential facets of God's righteousness. This episode covers justification, redemption, and atonement with clarity and depth, and explores why the Gospel feels too good to be true — and why you can receive it by faith anyway.

What if the things you've leaned on most in your spiritual life — your church attendance, your Bible knowledge, your Christian heritage — aren't what actually make you right with God?
In this week's message from Romans 3:1–20, we work through one of Paul's most searching passages: a raw, honest description of the human condition. No one is righteous. No one truly understands. No one seeks God on their own. And the Law — for all its value — can only show us how far we fall short.
But Paul doesn't leave us there. Because the same gospel that exposes our condition also offers the only real remedy: a righteousness we didn't earn, given to us through faith in Jesus.
You are not an old creation trying to become new. You are a new creation trying to shed the old.
📖 Scriptures Covered: Romans 3:1–20, Psalm 14:2–3, John 1:9, John 6:44, Ephesians 2:8

What's the difference between religious performance and genuine faith? In this week's message from Grand Point Church, we walk through Romans 2:17–29 — one of the most uncomfortable and convicting passages in all of Paul's letters. The Apostle Paul confronts the religious insiders of his day with a bold accusation: their outward religiosity was actually making things worse. Paul identifies four destructive patterns of religiosity — smugness, over-sensitivity, judgmentalism, and hypocrisy — and then uses the imagery of circumcision to make a radical point: God is after the heart, not the badge.
Whether you've been a church-going believer for decades or you're brand new to faith, this message will challenge you to examine not just what you do as a Christian, but who you are when no one's watching.

In this week's message, we take a hard look at Romans 2:1-16 — a passage that confronts the self-righteous tendency in all of us who are quick to judge the world while ignoring our own hearts.
We explore four truths about God's judgment: it rightly falls on hypocrites, it is stored up for those who presume on His kindness, it is rendered impartially, and it will expose the secrets of every heart. But in the middle of all of this, there is breathtaking hope — the One who will one day judge us is the same One who died in our place.

In this week's message, Pastor Lawrence digs into Romans 1:18-32 to show us that the best news ever actually starts with some bad news. God — the Great Physician — has given us a clear diagnosis: our world is sick, and we are the cause. But understanding what's wrong is the first step to receiving what's right.
This episode explores the wrath of God (and why it's actually a sign of His goodness), two forms of truth suppression, what it means when "God gave them up," and why the gospel is truly good news for every kind of sinner — regardless of background, struggle, or story.

What's preventing you from becoming everything God created you to be? This week's message challenges us to identify the ONE THING we need to let go of in order to press forward into the life Christ has for us.
The Apostle Paul, despite his impressive religious credentials and painful past experiences, made a powerful declaration: "One thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining toward what lies ahead." This isn't about erasing our memories—it's about refusing to let our past define our future.
In this compelling message, you'll discover:

What's the one gift you'd ask for above all others? In Psalm 27, King David reveals his ultimate request—and it changes everything.
Surrounded by enemies, facing betrayal, and dealing with impossible circumstances, David could have asked God for safety, victory, or vindication. Instead, he asked for the one thing that transcends all of life's chaos: God's presence.
In this episode of Weekend Messages at Grand Point Church, Pastor Doug Benedict unpacks Psalm 27 and challenges us to examine our own hearts: How much do we truly desire God's presence? Have we made our home in Him, or are we too busy "working the fields" of Christian service?
In This Episode:
Key Scripture: Psalm 27 (full chapter)
Big Idea: We find our home with God, when He makes His home in us!
Featured Quote:
"The presence of Jesus is the safest space for your soul. So, DWELL in Him, Church… Come Home."

"One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see."
What do you really KNOW about Jesus? In this compelling exploration of John 9, we discover three profound journeys that reveal what it means to truly "see" Christ.
Join us as we examine the healing of a man born blind and uncover how three different groups responded to the same miracle—some moving from blindness to sight, others tragically moving from sight to blindness.
In This Episode:
THE DISCIPLES' PERSPECTIVE: Discover why we must become blind to our religious formulas before we can see God's compassionate purposes. Learn how theological systems can actually blind us to the people right in front of us.
THE BLIND MAN'S TESTIMONY: Experience the transformative power of simple, personal testimony. His journey from physical blindness to spiritual sight—and ultimately to worship—shows us that personal experience of Jesus matters more than perfect theology.
THE PHARISEES' WARNING: Understand the greatest danger facing believers today—being so confident we "see" that we become spiritually blind. Their tragic descent reveals warning signs we all need to recognize.

What's the difference between feeling sorry for someone and showing true biblical compassion? This weekend, Pastor Lawrence unpacks the profound meaning of compassion in Scripture and challenges us to move beyond sympathy into life-changing action.
Drawing from the story of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10, we discover that compassion isn't just an emotion—it's a call to get physically involved, to risk our comfort, and to invest our resources in the lives of others. With over 2,000 verses in the Bible addressing care for the poor and vulnerable, this message reminds us that compassion is absolutely central to our faith.

What if you were doing everything right—following all the rules, living a good life—and Jesus looked at you with love and said, "You lack ONE THING"?
In this powerful weekend message, Pastor Lawrence explores one of the most challenging encounters in Scripture: the rich young ruler who asked Jesus about eternal life but couldn't release his possessions to follow Him.
This teaching from Mark 10:17-23 asks us to examine what we're holding onto that keeps us from fully following Jesus. The rich young ruler had wealth, youth, power, and religious devotion—everything the world values. He came to Jesus with the ultimate question: "What must I do to inherit eternal life?"
Jesus' response was both loving and challenging: "You lack ONE THING: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me." The man went away sorrowful because he had great possessions.
