We are back with episode 15. In this episode we discuss our vacation last week and our styled photo shoot from earlier this week. Frequent questions asked regarding photo shoots are whether or not they are worth the time, and budget. Regardless of which stage your business is in, photo shoots have the potential to provide a lot of value. We go over the benefits of participating in them. Pricing. We get asked often what to charge, how to charge, and how to turn a profit. Pricing, for some reason, is difficult to talk about. It shouldn’t be. There is an industry standard on flower markups, it’s no secret. The hard part is doing your homework- Getting market knowledge, building relationships with your supplier, working on flower/supply budgets, etcetera. Knowing the market, and knowing your market is the key here. In this episode, we discuss ways (ways that have worked for us) to help keep the business profitable. Also, solutions to common mistakes we hear from other florists. We would love to hear feedback from you guys. Whether it be problems you are running into, or other solutions you can share.
