Lauren Stackhouse was named the new head women’s basketball coach at Division III Delaware Valley University over the summer. She was a star player for the Aggies and will be taking over for her college head coach, Laura Hogan, who retired. Stackhouse has an extensive coaching resume in the area having spent years leading the West Chester Rustin High School girls’ basketball team and helped found the Delco Goats AAU squad.

The University of Pennsylvania football team is coming off a 6-4 2023 season (3-4 in the Ivy League). Dick DeLaney spent 21 years as the head men’s basketball coach at Division II West Chester University before retiring in 2008. He won 370 games at the helm of the Golden Rams and made such an impact on the school that later this month the basketball court at West Chester will be named in honor of him and former women’s basketball coach, Deirdre Kane.

The Division II Lincoln University Lions went 4-6 last season (3-5 in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association). Lincoln opens its 2024 season on the road on Thursday, September 5th against Clarion - the first of three straight road games to start the campaign.
